I don't generally like people getting too excited about the opposition. Some of our most convincing wins this season have come against 'good' opposition, Sheffield United and Sunderland were there for the taking and sometimes you are going to get tripped up by a 'pompy' or 'derby'.

That said with EMC and Rudoni starting to show what they are all about and a midfield that is getting back to full strength I feel good going into these games. Picking up 10 points from 4 games including today's game would be good for all of us.

We could have scored 4 or 5 today.

On top of the goals we had

Torp missed pen
Simms post
Sheaf tip over
Bassete header
Rudoni saka header mix up

Keep making lots of chances and dominating possession and we will smash a team sooner or later

Hoping we give Pompey a good battering to really get the players confidence up for the Xmas to New Year.

On the topic of this run-in, I back us to get a 3 or 4 wins out of the 5, including today. Millwall will be a tough fixture at home as will Cardiff, but both games are winnable. Plymouth and Pompey should be another 6 points in the bank.

No easy game in the championship. Although, if we don’t kick on from here with these fixtures, then season is done.

I dunno, Hull seemed to make a pretty good go of making it as easy as possible for us today
