Evening fellow SBT'ers.

So...I'm after a CCFC related book for my step-father for Xmas. Having looked on the website, we're not currently selling any so I thought I'd ask you lot for a recommendation and if you have a good one to suggest, can I get it on-line?

Cheers. Go.....

This one is meant to be good, Got, Not Got - http://www.finditforless.co.uk/search/got-not-got-coventry-city

Although there is the newspaper book that is a bit more expensive but a good gift

Who Ate All The Pies - Micky Quinn's autobiography is a good read.

Out of interest who would you like to write a book which would have relevance to us?

Ndlovu?
Konjic?
Bryan Richardson?

Isn't there one being released by ex pro's? Wasn't there a book signing on Friday that Benno spoke about after the Gills game? Not sure what it's called but think it's around club history / 87 etc.

maybe Deano knows, if he sees this?

It's the book by Steve Phelps that Bucks Blue has a link to a few posts up. It's a shame the signing was on a weekday, I was hoping to get over.

Would ndlovu be a love story?
Richardson would be fiction.

Richardson would be a crime thriller, minus the thriller part!

'Sky Blue Heroes' is absolutely fantastic. Every City fan, particularly those of us old enough to have witnessed the cup year will love it. Unputdownable (if that was a word). The memories came flooding back and it is particularly great reading the players thoughts during the different stages of the run.

I didn't know the back story behind how Steve Cockrill ended up getting into the team picture at Wembley, for example.

Steve Phelps sent me a copy through the post (he is on Twitter) signed by Oggy, Cyrille, Peake, Gynn and Phillips. He did have some other signed copies, not sure if he still has.

Keith Houchen's : A Tenner and a Box of Kippers is a brilliant book,as is Got,Not Got,The Lost World Of Coventry City. Both are must have books for all City fans, and when you've finished reading them both, it makes you realize why we love this football club of ours.

agree re houchen - although cup final apart he sounds quite bitter to the club and the way he was treated after the final - . He earned 18k in the cup final year - scandalous really. NEver see him at legends days etc

He played in Snoz's testimonial but now you mention it I can't remember any appearance from him since then.
