I will get the smaller one I use gamepass but mainly on pc, 8 will get one as friends still ay fifa and that so it just makes sense rather than being a loner on pc I can hop on and catch a few games with them, but I'm not spending £450 on the better one as my pc is my main rig.I think the smaller ones are just aimed at people who will just use it for Xbox Game Pass and Fortnite etc.
Yeah but seems pretty stupid to put in such small hdds as standard. It's not like it's that an expensive of thing to factor in.You can get external hdds that's would fix that issue.

Locked into paying the fixed xbox store prices for games. HDD supplied seems really poxy considering the top games range between 100 and 200 gb.
Same goes for the discless Ps5. I know it'll suit people but for me it's a false economy. I like picking up odd games on the cheap and secondhand whilst having the option to trade

Agree, personally would prefer a digital one and I guess it gives you £100 of that value to pay more for the titles (false economy in the end) but obviously it limits sharing titles which is a bit crap and tier 1 titles tend not to move price unless the next years version comes out, FIFA being the usual example of this.Retailers are to blame here. GameStop and the like rely on second hand trade and won’t stock the consoles if they undercut physical media prices.
That said I was fully digital last gen and while you might take a hit on brand new games, the sales means I very rarely paid full price for a game and picked up more than I could play.
Pisses me off on Switch though, the big Nintendo IPs never get a sale and are consistently £10-15 more digitally than physically.

As a PS Now and PS Plus subscriber I’m hoping they offer something similar to the finance option for PS5. I’d be all over that. Hoping that developers use the extra power for 1080p games as well. Still not comfortable buying an underpowered console.

Microsoft has announced that Seagate will be offering storage expansion cards for both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. In other words they’re a 2020's take on the memory card; something that fell out of fashion during the early days of the Xbox 360.
The cards plug into the back of the console, adding 1TB of extra storage to your Xbox. Microsoft promises that they take advantage of “the full speed and performance of the Xbox Velocity Architecture”, meaning they should be just as fast and reliable as the internal SSD.
The downside is that there won’t support external hard drives plugged into the USB port. If your games aren’t on the internal hard drive or one of Seagate’s expansion cards, you won’t be able to play them.
I game share with my brother so it works out cheaper for us anyway we only pay 25/30 per game, we can both play and don't have the inconvenience of disk.I'm the opposite of you two, I don't see the point in not having a physical copy of the game, you get it cheaper to start with and you have the option to sell on at a later date to recover some money to put towards a new title. Also means you can pick up games cheap on the second hand market too. What happens when the servers are turned off for a particular game?

No apparently they released a statement saying it wasn't going to be exclusive but that could change.Does this mean all their stuff is going Xbox exclusive or is it to help beef up their on demand catalogue? As they're keeping existing agreements their next few releases as part of Microsoft will be timed PS5 exclusives which just seems odd now

I play pc & xbox mainly pc u less friends are on fifa so It doesn't bother me but if that's the case I can see the PlayStation guys being extremely annoyedThe statement was that the 2 existing releases for the PS5 were staying but future games would be on a case-by-case basis. The smart money is on them being exclusive from now on. They didn't just spend 7.5Billion to keep the status quo, they could have spent far less if all they wanted was to add them to Game Pass.
