I know Shipley was taken off due to a knee injury but even before that the game was passing him by, doesn’t go in for a tackle. Has been great for us in L1 and L2 but he has struggled in the Champ and today was arguably L1 opposition.
Kelly. Monster captain and to score a second while in hospital is amazing. Don’t be surprised to see problems through the middle of the park now if he is out. Sheaf is a problem for us. He played so many sloppy passes that were to hard, too soft not reaching our players and needs to be switched on not to get out done for that penalty.

I would be very very tempted to get Eccles back in January. Think he would be a much more useful asset in midfield than Shipley or Allen.

MAcCallum is only option at left wing back. Shudder to think how Giles would have dealt with long balls. He did a lot of good stuff too which wasn’t as readily noticed. But wasn’t his best game going forward. Defensively was decent.Can't disagree with the selection today all things considered except for LWB, McCallum has looked like he needs a breather

That game, Preston and Millwall will decide if we can make that leap to the next group of teams. Lots of big games coming up, and Norwich in the cup which we’ve got to fancy our chances in.

I think he’s potentially a very good player but his inexperience comes through at times.
