Are they actually going to last the pace? Walking the league at the moment and im sure im not the only one thats been expecting the wheels to come off for the last month or so and yet still, they keep winning.

Shades of Burton when they went up i feel

Still cant see it myself

Playoffs and pronotion sure. But autos i think they fall away

Alot depends on chasing pack though. We need to just keep playing pur brand of footy and taking our chances. If it clicks we could make up pts quicker than we think

People have criticised their style of play but they’ve won 4 more games, have 9 more points, scored 5 more goals and conceded 6 less.

I remember a few seasons ago when Shrewsbury were flying, they were top of the league for ages, eventually lost in the playoff final.

Probably similar to us except they put away their sitters and don't throw games in stoppage time.

And how many games have we won or got a draw from in stoppage time? I believe it's the best in the league. Yes we miss to many sitters but you cant slag them off for no playing to the final whistle.

The reason the goals we concede in the last minute are equalisers is because we miss sitters earlier in the game.

They’re Leyton Orient under Russell Slade. Doing remarkably well but a blip is inevitable and they’ll miss out.

Despite dropping two points yesterday I thought we played really well and I know other teams might same the same but when I consider Peterborough, Oxford, Bolton, Tranmere, MK Dons and the Sunderland game we should be 13 points better off possibly more. We will get better MR has to resolve our striker problem and it is a problem. I would hope and expect a very early striker deal in January get that right I think we could catch up the leaders and pull away.

They also got to the checkatrade final and lost. Sad year for them, 2 losses at wembley. Long way up back to Shropshire that would be

well with crowds of 5k and Baka, Biamou, Jordi, Godden and Pont on the books, we cant just throw money at someone. It may well be the case someone has to leave first

Great move by Grimmer deemed not good enough for us but the way it's going could be a championship player this time next season

Tried searching his name on the Wycombe forum to see how he’s been doing overall but it’s not very user friendly. With them top and part of a defence who’s conceded the second least in the division you’d have to presume he’s doing very well.

The player occupying the other full back berth is the one grabbing the headlines, he has 7 goals this season

Thought we could not score. We must me doing well to miss all these sitters and still be 5th on goal difference, We are not perfect BUT we will improve with the players coming back,

They have Ipswich midweek
At least they both can’t win that one

Even with a new striker we’d have very little chance of going first and pulling away from the others.

We’ve had our share of good fortune too. But the point is Wycombe are higher up because they’re making fewer of these types of error. Not necessarily a dig at us.

I remember Accrington when we were in league 2 - 2017-2018 thought the wheels would come off as they had the smallest budget etc - gained promotion with 11 points to spare

Is dabo a lot better than grimmer or can grimmer feel hard done by?

No not really. Robins felt Grimmer’s position was one of the ones we needed to improve upon after promotion. Football is a ruthless sport and I’m sure he understands that that there’s no room for sentiment.

He’s currently in a team who’s doing better than us but let’s see where we both are at the end of the season.

Eventually Sterling was a lot better than Grimmer. Despite slowly improving, jury’s still out for Dabo.

Just sometimes I don’t feel as convinced, sometimes looks a bit wobbly. But agree in general he has improved at a faster rate than Sterling.

Grimmer was an honest hard working full back and robins wanted a ball playing full back and that wasn’t Grimmer’s comfort zone. I think sterling was overall better than grimmer and dabo is overall better than sterling.
Robins didn’t ever slate grimmer and grimmer didn’t slate robins or the club and hasn’t whinged about not playing and moved on. So fair play to grimmer and that he has been successful in a league 2 promotion maybe he’ll prove his worth in a league 1 promotion team

Still believe we've got a better player in Dabo and had a better player in Sterling, I liked Grimmer though so good luck to him

In all due respect to Grimmer and Stokes, we now have much better full backs.

An away win would help.
