Haji is a paradox. Was injured during pre-season but came back firing at the start of the season, goes away with the USA 6 weeks ago and impresses, comes back and his form drops for us. I remember last season, he played at Derby midweek and was awful, then scored a hattrick against Sunderland 3 days later. He's impossible to predict. I think Simms has more than earnt the shirt for this Saturday. His last start was away at Pompey when he set up both goals and was really good. He's scored and assisted off the bench since then.
I say this as a Haji fan, I would genuinely drop him for the next 2 and give Simms a go, he has earnt it in my view. Then bring Haji back for Charlton after some time off and hope he's back to it
I wouldn't start simmo unless Haji can't play at all and then it's a coin toss! He just can't seem to contribute enough with his feet to the general play. Lampard went the other way last time so maybe Simmo will get another chance.
If you a team mate and you are busting a gut in the cause and there is Haji just sauntering around you be soon telling him to get his arse in gear .
I've seen Victor Torp Overgaard tell him more than once

Lampard said he’s happy with what wrights doing and the work he does between the lines, thats all that matters, not sure what we expect from wright he’s a good championship player, frustrating as he is he’s class on his day, and simms has improved but he’s only doing the minimum you’d expect him to do, if Simms had a run of 5 starts guarantee we’d be wanting wright to start
HHmmmm, who to listen to??? Frank Lampard, world famous midfielder and manager of our Club.........................................or random fans on a website with little insight of behind the scenes goings on???

Whilst I agree with what you've said, Frank is hardly going to come out publicly and say Wright is a lazy c**t when he's not in the game, is he? Let's be honest, FL might be just as frustrated with his apparent lack of effort in games he's not firing in, but he's not about to come out and state that publicly!

He didnt score in the 5-goal drubbing but his movement and positional play as the striker were really good. He only played 60 minutes over the two games he should be good to go against WBA and for me he makes the US roster for the World Cup. Did his job both as main striker and as late sub with those 2 strikes. Poch can’t ask for more; even if he remains plan B.
I would think if Frank is unhappy with Haji, he's not the sort of bloke to hold back on telling him so. Haji will understand what's expected from him, but also how to do it. Maybe he's doing exactly what he's been told to do by Frank
