On yesterday's performance we saw what has been missing in our team. Having someone who can put the ball away like him and threaten so much throughout 90 minutes is the major difference in the WDL column. What a time to have him back at the tail end of our push for a playoff spot.

I would also say he's already proven himself to be a big game player as well which is very important.

His performance in the FA Cup last year shown that. He's also scored more world cup knockout round goals than Portuguese Ronaldo

Offered a completely different threat compared to last couple months. We've been used to balls coming from out wide, and midfielders arriving late. Yesterday was Wright running onto balls down the channels. Great to see us be able to switch it up, and different approaches will yield different results depending on who we play.

And Wright playing in the middle when many thought he couldn't. Scored 3 making 1 himself.

I liked his interview when he watched his own goals where he had a dig at those calling his left foot his weaker one.

Is he worth more the Vik if we sold him in the summer?

Depends on his output between now and then. If he pushes onto 16+ goals and is showcased in the POs, then his value will be similar I'd say.

No its Grimes that makes good players better Because he takes the risk and can handle it that others can not

Grimes has been an exceptional signing but he needs the players in front of him

Wright is the difference, but…….he has to reach those levels regularly now. Too often over last 12 months we’ve seen 8/9 out of 10 followed by 5/6 at best out of 10.

wright of yesterday is game changer.

He’s 50/1 to be golden boot winner, 7 away….worth a flutter!

I just had a flutter at 100/1 with Bet365.

Do our playoff wins count or is it just until our last game of the normal season?

Good question. I’ve a feeling it’s regular season only, but worth checking out.

Yeah but what will it be by the end of the regular season, whoever is in position isn't going to stop scoring are they?

Said to my mate before the game on Saturday (after seeing the lineups) that the best thing that could happen to us was Haji grabs a couple of goals against Sunderland and then goes on a run to the end of the season.

His ‘freshness’ could be huge for us

How many will it take then, what's a sensible prediction?
I'm going for another 5.

I know it was only Sunderland. But 2 very well taken goals and both won the penalty and scored it with confidence. Left foot thunderbolt from 25 yards and a lovely dink over the GK. Now his confidence levels are flying I wouldn't bet against another hat-trick before the end of the season.

It all depends which haji turns up - if Saturdays version turns up for 70/80% of the remaining games - then every chance he could get another 7-10 goals......which could take him to circa 20.

It's mental how he can go from looking Sunday league to premier league in 4 days

Honestly, Derby he was worse than awful. Couldn't pass, couldn't hold the ball, couldn't move he was genuinely utter shite

Then Saturday, he was absolutely unplayable, and resembled Viktor in his days here

If we can get the Saturday Haji to turn up for at least 75 % of the hopefully 11 games left, I think we will be in with a tremendous shout. He's premier league quality on his day i don't care what anyone says

I watched the women's league cup final saturday for a bit and I think the pitch at derby really messed us up as we just aren't that kind of team .. the pitch was way worse than I realised

Before Saturday Simms was our joint top scorer and the last time I looked he was a striker.

Derby was a backs to the wall display not giving us an inch of space. Sunderland gave him space. He used it well.

We also gave them the first goal and something to hold on to. That allowed us to get rattled and forget how to clear our lines and to string basic passes and so on.

The whole team were underperforming under Robins. Simms has been working hard. I do wonder if he’d be a better defender.

I’m hoping he chips in during his next stint in the team.

Mistakes happen. We will make more before the end of the season. We will also be gifted chances.

What didn't help was the linesman not seeing the ball go a couple of foot past the line before being kicked back in for their second.

Simms scored more goals from open play too… Haji scored 3-4 penalties and had a high xG of chances missed.
