really, what does man city have to do with a direct comparison between 2 teams when neither of them is in fact man city?

i'd love to hear your logic on that one

I suspect it will be in Season 2, where they’d devote an entire episode should they beat us. That’ll be a fun watch

Personally I’d field this 11:

Moore
Burroughs
Alabi
Rose
McGrath
Ried
Kelly
Eccles
Rus
Tavares
Waghorn

Would not risk any key players, Rose has to be involved as we cant field a back 3 of youngsters it would be suicide.

No way, they will dump us out of the cup.

They are basically a league two team in all but name. Play Burroughs and some other fringe players like Moore but not a reserve side.

Perfect match to drag the whole family up. Good one for the kids at £2 each.

Not to mention with Eccles injured & a few of those youngsters out on loan we'd only be fielding a 7-a-side team.

It really is a bargain for anyone trying to get their kids to matches. Appreciate it wont be the full match experience because of the opponents etc. but for £2 it's a no brainer for me.

It's a perfect starter match for kids.

Does anyone know how many the Gogs have sold? I have worked in Wrecsam recently and they seem to think they’re already a top League 1 team that could do it in the Championship. We all know the step up from League 1 to the Championship is enormous, hence teams like Peterborough and Rotherham yo-yo despite doing well in League 1.

Mullin is prolific at NL/League 2 level, a bit like McNulty (and how he plays too) but as we all know that doesn’t mean he’s going to be prolific in League 1/Championship. Hopefully Saturday will bring the goats down a peg or two but judging by the suggested line up, we are the ones going to get pegged!

More I think about it, the more I can't see too many "youth" changes to our average match day squad.

You'd guess that Hamer & Vik will be certainly rested. But can't see the defence being changed much from the usual pool of 6 or 7 players, all of which have contributed to plenty of clean sheets.
Midfield, we'll see Kelly (needs minutes) alongside Howley or Sheaf. With Allen or Palmer too. Up top we'll have Waghorn and Tavares (both need minutes).

I think we'll be defensively sound, it'll just be whether the fowards to combine and create.

I'd be annoyed if I was a Wrexham fan not being allowed 6000 tickets.

We've lost 1500 extra tickets and plenty of food/beverage money because of the SAG. Needs sorting.

Reading there forum suggests they will all be in the home end paying on the day.

We’ve given Wolves, WBA & Leeds 6K in the past so don’t see why it couldn’t be done with a half empty stadium.

Nothing appeals more than seeing a Conference team take over the stadium-still at least more paying customers than Wasps ever got

They won't be, every club that sells it's away allocation says this and it never happens.

Also the club/ticket are likely to cancel sales if there are a large number of "home" tickets brought with North Wales post codes

This. Every single time I'm told there will 'loads in the home end', there is absolutely zero evidence of that at the game itself.

Same applies when we sell out and tell the opposition we'll be all over their end. Absolute bollocks.

How are they going to cancel sales and check postcodes with pay on the gate? The club just tweeted that hospitality is now sold out and the balcony open. Bit of a coincidence less than 24 hours after it appears on the Wrexham forum that you can buy hospitality for £25 it sells out?

Not it isn't, I know loads of ST holders going in hospitality as a one-off for this game because of the price.

Its is a good price at £25/£12.50 when you get the nice bar, tea/coffee and player interviews etc.

That translates to almost nothing in terms of revenue though. Average ticket price of say £8, which is £6.66 less VAT; and we only get a 1/3 share. That amounts to £3300 which would barely cover the extra cost of policing and stewarding.

No idea why people are so bothered about the allocation. We went to Reading a few weeks back, sold out weeks ahead of the game and played in a half empty stadium, and nobody said a word about why they limit the allocation so much.

Well i sit in club coventry each week and when i got mine before the Bristol game they told me hardly any had been sold. So to me yes this is a big coincidence.

The beer is expensive, they always run out of tea/coffee and there are never enough seats in the bar unless you get there by 1.30pm. Sorry to be a downer but i sit there every week and expect it to be better run.

For a regular league game, I'd agree. But expensive beer, running out of things and crowding is commonplace all over the ground. For £25/£12.50 its a good "entry" price for families who usually cant usually afford the extra bits, like free programs, player interviews, etc.

Completely at odds with what I was told, that corporate was busy (this was last week), and also anecdotally I know people going in there who don't usually.

Of course there has been a surge in sales since the Bristol City game, that applies around the ground (you can clearly see that), and this will accelerate as we get closer to the game. Friday and Saturday will be by far the busiest day for sales, so all in I think we are looking at a very decent turn out indeed (for an early round FA Cup tie anyway). Certainly there seems to be a lot more people going to this than went to Derby last season, just from conversations. The 20 loyalty points coupled with pricing making a difference clearly.

As in more expensive than the rest of the ground? It's already fucking expensive and shit, bit mad if they put the price up for people paying for hospitality. Not exactly a way to encourage people back.

Its one things to be getting shit service if you're a regular ticket holder but if you're paying for a premium experience they should really get their act together
