No, but there is no excuse that this team can not achieve success in jpt and gain promotion

JPT is nothing in relation to the league. A Wembley final is a day out sure but say we lose that final and finish 14th in the league, I wouldn't really call that a successful season. League has to be priority.

i fear we may finish 14th and not have the day out either !

On the basis that I don't see us getting close to promotion then damn right I would accept a day out at Wembley and something to shout about for a change.

Cup runs are forgotten about very quickly. The JPT is a crap tournament.

We should be minimum top 6 in the league. We are one of the biggest 6 clubs. The JPT would be a bonus.

You sure?

Show me the last time I even mentioned our 1987 cup win....other than this post now. Also, a cup win is more than a cup run. The F.A. Cup will also be much more than the JPT, although many less teams get to play in it

No chance. The league is more important. It's more reflective of how good a team is. Plus promotion guarantees decent opposition every week. Attendences and atmospheres are better. A trip to wembley would be a nice day out, but would just paper over the cracks. It's still possible to achieve both, should the right manager be brought in.

If we are not promoted this season the this club is finished - SISU simply will not fund another season in this league. End off.

I dont give a shit about any of the cups. The league is the only thing that matters.

No. Don't think I would. Play off final defeat and JPT win maybe, but we need to get out of this league more than we need to win a mickey mouse cup!

No, league is priority play offs minimum requirement, it may not happen this year but reaching the play offs may just force sisu into another season of funding! Anything less and we will be in trouble.

Hang on a minute, isn't our big game in London in a couple of weeks. Surely we couldn't have another, not in the same season!

No, no and thrice no.

I want the heady heights of Barnsley and Peterborough again. I want a satisfying finish to a league season for a change.

No. It's the lower-league equivalent to the Zenith Data Cup and the trophy is made out of the tin foil from packets of Rolo's. Many people believe that it's shit or bust this season, and I'd rather not risk them being right in exchange for a day out in smoggy London.

If we don't get out of this league this year - we'll be playing in the conference, because the plug will be pulled.

More importantly, would Sisu take midtable and a JPT final? I think not - not unless we had huge crowds at the Ricoh watching a mid table D1 team.
