Just seen he's back at Bournemouth after loan spell at Huddersfield. Where he got injured but back fit now played 5 games under chris Powell but didn't get a look in after injury under the new manager. Would you have him on loan until the end of the season ? Obviously not going to get in the Bournemouth team.. Used to be good first time around and I'm sure he can still do a job in league one?

Not really, rather have more of a brute at CB.

Can take penalties though....

Yep, thought he was very good last time round. Would stand out in League one. Much better than Reda. I don't think we need a brute neccassarily, we need someone who's dominant in the air, Elliot Ward was fantastic in the air.

I also think he would suite tm style of play as he used to like getting on the ball and passing etc. would be a good signing

I'd take Ward back definitely.

Do we know how long Martin is expected to be out?

Agreed. Don't think he would want to drop down to league one anyway.

Yeah, I'd take him back. We need bodies back there and he's capable so ticks the right boxes on a short term basis.

As Stupot says he'd probably not want to drop down to L1 but you never know. Especially considering who we've signed. He wanted to be here I'd snap him up. Would be the best centre half in our squad.

Obviously depends what the alternative options are but certainly wouldn't rule him out. Did have a tendency to make big mistakes on a fairly regular basis.

Yep, he's not a commanding centre back. We need a bit of a big brute if possible.

He would to a side challenging at top end of league. He's more a Aaron Martin type, but can play it from the back. Let's get him!

Was waiting for that...ye Gods, please no.

Anyway, as far as Ward goes, I'd have him back in a heartbeat. Real classy centre-half: mobile, agile, brilliant in the air, robust but not overly big.

Personally, I think he'd jump at the chance to work under TM here; he's not likely to make inroads in the Bournemouth first team just yet.

Plus, as someone already mentioned, the lad can take a wicked feckin' penalty.

I would have him back straight away if available. And I think he would definitely come for a promotion push

He's gone back to Rotherham, but I thought one player could only play for two league clubs in one season, so he wouldn't be available to play even for Rotherham (his parent) club now?

RE: Ward, I wasn't his biggest fan first time round, but he was young, naive, and a lot of the times tried to play football on the edge of his own box and made his own problems! However, I think that kind of player would suit us now and surely he's grown up and is less of a cocky tool that he across as being last time!

Certainly has the build of the type of player we would need (and was athletic too)

Yes, I'd take him back. I never really understood why Coleman brought Wood in to replace him.

I would. Agree he might not be the player he once was but I'm sure he could do a good job in L1, even though he's not the type of CB we necessarily need..

I'd like to see ward here, he offers a lot still at set pieces which we are weaker than what we could be at both ends. He has the ability to score which is a nice bonus, no point in having players with the likes of Cole, Maddison, Murphy who have the ability to deliver some good corners / free kicks when we don't have much threat in the air. This is another sauce of goals to strengthen us. Used to take a mean penalty too, if we ever get the fortune of one again!! Can play out from the back and now has far more experience than before. Richard wood would be ruled out as i believe you can only play for 3 teams a season. Happy to be corrected on that tho.

Ward is a quality player - I doubt we'd get him but if we could then we should make it happen.

TM could make it possible, if the deal and conditions are right. And of course, if Ward is on his radar.

Personally, I think he'd fit seamlessly into the back four - he's tall, mobile, athletic, intelligent and vocal. Ideal scenario would be a 6 month loan, imo.

Ward would be a good signing, but can't see it happening myself.

Would I take Elliott Ward? It depends. I could take him to the zoo or maybe the cinema. Not sure what he likes :thinking about:
