In my humble opinion, Smallbone is a very good player (from what I've seen of him) and would be a more than able addition if Rudoni were to leave.
If he were to go, my guess would be that King would accept anything in the region of between 10 and 15 million. We have to remember that our club is purely business for him regardless of what we want or are led to believe and he doesn't have the same emotional investment that we fans do.

It only makes sense to sell Rudoni to Southampton if MVE interest has died and funds are needed to bring in 2 or 3 targets.
But if MVE is off, selling a player of Rudoni’s importance for £10-15m to strengthen a rival would be gutting for me. If Newcastle came for him, I’d understand a bit more.
