And we still remain unbeaten under pressley, i admit the performance on saterday wasnt the best but at least we are still giving it a go..

I do get what you're saying and don't mean to belittle that comment but by what you're sayin, ACL won't negotiate further with our current owners yet might do with potential owners who currently sit in the figment of many peoples imaginations. That'll save the club....

Miserable or realistic? I am perfectly chilled, since you ask. I was resigned to this season being a near miss after the 3 Crewe games. Bit better than the previous dozen seasons though.

Well its obvious they have someone seriously interested or maybe even done deal !!
They will offer a better deal to a new owner anything to get Sisu out !!!!

I can't wait for the day the stadium and club are united !!!!

1. No have not met them
2. There are more than one interested parties
3. One were at game on Tuesday w Elliott
4. One I am told has been to Ricoh on 3 separate occasions
5. There can have been no discussions re fan ownership or anything like that as we haven't met them and there is no football club currently for sale
6. There are far better qualified people to sit on boards than me

If I knew more would be happy to share but be assured there are interested parties looking to buy, the problem may be finding a party willing to sell.

I want us playing Championship football ASAP, not lingering in the same league as the likes of Crawley, fun as a one of. Also got few bets we get playoffs and finish ahead of Brentford, so admin will feck that up.

More importantly though, there is no guarantee a buyer would be found, moreover, who's to say they won't be any better than SISU? Surely if these potential investors had the capital, why would they need to wait till admin? Also, factor in this, there's been 2 separate parties looking to invest in CCFC at around the same time as SISU, and they pulled out, finances, linked to RICOH rent and other things and directly to to owning the stadium.

I bet that we get in the play offs.

However I felt it would be at the expense of Tranmere.

People will be more keen to buy a Championship club than a L1 club. It all comes down to how much SISU are prepared to write off from their total investment.

To me it just a threat to ACL that, " you can sue us, and possibly win, but you won't get anything as we'll liquidate".

How can ACL commit legal fees with that threat in place?

If you could get a business at a knock down price would you invest some of the spare in to the club? Why would anyone pay more for the club than they have to?

What would you define as a knock down price? A club that has very few tangible assets, unsustainable rent and is losing money would, in my opinion, have very little value.

Troube is I wonder how long the love affair would last with the new owners .It is not like owners pre SISU were universally loved. There was a time way back when Richaerdson was buying players with gay abandon, Daish/Jess/Zuniga/Martinez/Delorge/Breen when he was being acclaimed by most fans,it is only when the huge debts became apparent,that he went from hero to zero,almost overnight.Unless we are taken over by a billionaire,it is likely tough and probably unpopular decisions will have to be taken.A few defeats and suddenly the cry of Sack the Board will be ringing round the Ricoh.

I get your point. Very true but in response to a previous post I said why pay full price when you don't need to . The figure may well be nominal but why pay the full amount before admin.

Not forgetting that SISU have refused to sell to takeover attempts in the past. They have a value attached to the club, albeit that it is set so that they can recoup some of their losses.

If admin happens then the market will set he value. What market? Lets see.

When was this?

The last attempt which was in the public domain was actually withdrawn and ended up looking ridiculous.

Hoffman et al. SISU didn't want to sell so they withdrew.

They had to withdraw because the takeover had a conflict of interest.

I seem to remember Hoffman and his cronies wrote out an offer of £1 on the back of a cigarette packet?
he did exactly what I said at the time - disappeared.
Is he in the wings now? Waiting for admin? I doubt it.

The club is not a good proposition to any buyer until the rent, access to more revenue streams and in particular all within the stadium, partial stadium ownership at least and then some.
Whatever happens one day it will be nothing more than could have been agreed with SISU now, enabling them to recoup some of their 40m investment and then get out of town. They have said as much so why don't ACL/CCC come up with an agreed plan to make that happen and see it through to new owners in a few years time? Any new owner after admin as they are apparently looking for, would simply want the same? Sometimes it's better the devil you know surely? It does not need trust by either side, just a deal to be thrashed out.
It has to be said SISU have funded this club and kept it alive this last few years and have attacked the finances with some vigor to get the clubs house in order so it can move forward which brings us back to the original argument - rent and revenue streams generated by the presence of the football club being denied them.
ACL at times act like the baby throwing the dummy out the pram. "we don't need a football club to survive" etc. Oh really? I'll give you a couple of years at best, to do your best without a football club in the Ricoh and all the marketing that brings to the Ricoh, in turn supplementing your opportunities?
The football club is by far the biggest supported entity in this City. Brings in money in other ways, not just the match days. can you imagine the people of Coventry without a football club becuase the council with ACL and a charity failed to compromise?
I dislike SISU owning our club for the most part. But they haven't done much wrong since learning from earlier mistakes. Give them the chance to save the club and some of their investment. Seems to me people belive SISU keep holding a gun to ACL's head in all this. I think the same can be applied vice versa.

We've put off the inevitable for too long. This club cannot survive in its current state. If it's not now is in a few years. The thunder clouds constantly over head.

The club died the day the old regime couldn't get the cash to finance the Ricoh. It's been a long prolonged death, but that was the wound that did it.

Whatever happens, the new club owners (taking a wild assumption we will get some) must own the stadium. Otherwise it's all pointless.

If admin can be a path out that avoids Sisu following through on their threats then it's has the be the only way, all be it begrudgingly.
