They could have had 50% without the wasps franchise. No.

No one should be happy with a franchise.

Happy wouldn't be the right word cos I don't want Wasps here. I would be very happy though if the club owned half the stadium.

It is a short term fix, but does nothing to deal with the long term issues

No, it's absolutely fine.

Now means we can all go to MK Dons away without any concience. Can even go in the home end and swap stories with their fans.

The problem for sisu now is if they but the 50% share in acl they also take on 50% of the loan made by the council..wasn't most of sisu's judicial review based on the fact that this loan was illegal, it leaves them with no hope of winning the review (of which they already have no hope of winning)

I read it as takeover of the club. They are here now. Nothing more to be said about it.

I think overall when the haze clears we will see that this is a better situation than we had before. If Side can get the other 50% of ACL then they will have equal rights as Wasp have. The council seem intent on securing the stadiums future and taking a back seat whilst retaining the freehold. If the rumour of the lease extention is true then either sides 50% is almost as good as having the freehold. A lot can be done with that. Question also arises that the deal included what exactly? Is it only the stadium and the associated profits or the whole arena complex? We were also told the loan was included in the price? So if Side could get involved for the football club then they may have the prospect of an extraordinary deal that never looked likely before. One more thing, when is Hoffman and Co during this time of opportunity? I think there is a lot more detail yet to be released...

Didn't people do that anyway to show how unhappy they were with us moving?

I will be happier than I am now when phase 3 happens, phase 1 being a return to the Ricoh, phase 2 being the Wasps buying ACL and phase 3 getting the club out of the hands of sisu altogether.

And may I add my beef with sisu isn't the politics, had enough of that at my club for 40 years or more, it's the way sisu or the various idiots who they have employed, some gone, some still here have run my football team, selling players, replacing them with sub-standard tripe, relegation and maybe more of that to come as they have openly admitted they won't be able to run a championship club.

Not happy no but we need to make the best of it now, whats done is done.

If SISU hadn't messed about and previous boards not gambled our future it would be ours 100% anyway.
If it forces their hand and we get 50% share so be it, if they continue prating about we're stuffed

Anybody ever said they are the good guys? Nothing worse than people talking absolute shit and making things up.

When we were moved and players were sold it was just business

I would be pissed off.

Wasps getting the Ricoh shows that if they hadn't acted like a bunch of w@nkers the arena would belong to SISU/CCFC.

Wasps shouldn't be in Coventry.

CCC shouldn't have sold their share to Wasps.

But now we have to look at if any good can come from this shite. And if anything would get rid of SISU it would get my vote. We would be able to start moving forward.

No the club have never been offered the full share -- nice though that you at last acknowledge they own the arena and the council have effectively flogged the freehold. At least the penny has dropped a bit.
