It's all about the new generation. Get them hooked young.
I would wait to see what players we would lose before saying that. McNulty, Bayliss for certain if we don't win Monday. SISU love a sale.Promotion definitely would. Even without promotion itself, a sense of upward momentum or optimism is enough to get people interested again.

You are 100% correct ashbyjan but not going for “cast offs” or has beans would mean increasing the player budget including wages. Can you see that happening ?
I believe our illustrious owners will not invest one single bean more than they have to to keep club alive whilst they pursue their legal actions but if I was in Mr Boddys shoes I would be trying to build on the goodwill a promotion (which obvioualy hasnt happened and might not) and foster a siege type mentality ie lets do this together, to hell with SISU, the Council, Wasps etc - this is our battle - the club and the supporters and only we can dig ourselves out of the shit. Guarantee that every penny spent on season tickets etc will be invested in the club on the playing staff etc. There will inevitably be the usual NOPM mob but they are a very small (if annoyingly vocal) minority but all fans want is success and by creating a united us against the world mentality could go a long way to generating the funds Robins would need to build a competitive side.
McNulty will naturally attract teams in higher positions as he has proved he's a goal scorer and Lg 2 fan's player of year.I would wait to see what players we would lose before saying that. McNulty, Bayliss for certain if we don't win Monday. SISU love a sale.
Where have you been the whole season? With the FA Cup run especially promoting this it has been going on already that it's all about the club, manager, players etc.
That sort of thing hasn't just appeared now. It has been noticeably building since Robins walked back in through the door.
I take it the trust will be on board, rather than playing up to the NOPM mob you speak of and taking great pleasure in repeated "show of hands" of who is boycotting with smirks and smug grins?
It's always been the case of support the team and club and fuck the rest of them hasn't it? If it wasn't for so much nonsense propaganda from people with agendas then it would be the norm for the majority of people, however sadly people believe the nonsense about SISU pocketing all the money etc etc they read online. They believe that if they starve CCFC of funds then SISU will have to sell up.
This season as it's progressed more and more have got away from the "morals" and got back into football. That's how it should be.
Things have definitely improved since Dave Boddy came in with a more club centred approach. Has helped that Fisher has disappeared into the background and SISU / Council / Wasps crap has not been so prevalent. Overall I believe people are just fed up with the whole "political" nonsense and are ready to support a team that wants success. However for many they remain to be convinced that that is the case at CCFC, ceraitainly wont see investment from Joy and it is therefore up to Boddy etc to generate interest and convince lapsed fans (like myself) that its worth coming back. Once back the passion may return if team is succesful but at the moment the Wembley adventure will be a one off.
As for the Trust I have no involvement with them and haven't had for over a year now so wouldn't know what occurs at meetings.

Apologies, won't mention the trust again if you aren't involved
What team doesn't want success and why would fans need convincing? Even going back to the FA cup Robins was saying the same things and you could see all of the players had bought into what he was about. It was mainly that it's all about the fans, playing for the badge and what the club means. The link between the fans and players is something I have never really seen before.
I think the politics stuff is a bit silly too, it's all well and good listening to the nonsense people put out on social media in the week about Joy is going to sell x player to take all of the money and run off into the distance, but who in their right mind listens to so much bollocks, believes it and then uses that as a reason not to support the club?
People need to see Joy investing? Why? I'd rather she didn't and we let Boddy and others help increase the money that the club earns (not borrows or relies on being pumped in).
I said it years ago, people focused so much on being angry and the politics that they actually forgot what they were angry about. It has always been easy to just say that yes SISU are pricks, yes CCC, Wasps, acl, PWKH etc are pricks but at 3 on a saturday it's all about CCFC.
We do, unfortunately
We have a lot of fans who have used NOPM as a convenient way of relieving themselves of the guilt they felt at not wanting to bother going to games anymore. They are the ones who used to sit complaining all game anyway.
If we keep doing ok then what we might see is a shift in our fanbase- some of the complainers gone replaced by people who have no interest in politics and just want to see us win.
Why the big debate , if Cov get promoted then more fans will appear
Ps we have to get promted first and don’t count your chickens either
Just like we hmm the Maddison sell on clause money that was done to death by the experts .....
And both aren't as pretty as they appear!
Regardless of promotion a large proportion of the fans still won't come back due to the combination of SISU's ownership / the fact we'd still be in an unfashionable league and we won't see £1 of the Maddison sell on clause.
So where will everything go from the sell on clause then if not to the club?
