good question but doubt it. He is performing miracles here but like most managers he has a ceiling. He isn’t an attractive name for pl owners and never been there before. Never say never but doubtful. His best way is with us

If he went to a club higher up he’d have one year to get promoted or be out of a job. Here there’s little expectation

Nope no chance, Just not the sort of manager who gets a chance at that level.

I actually feel like we are in a really good place with Robins. He left once for a minor step up which really didn't work out for him. He has turned down an offer from Sunderland, I just think he knows he fits here.

Middling Champ teams might try and poach him but most of those who might aren't that much of an upgrade. He seems settled here and despite what some say the board have backed him whilst staying within the budgets.

We're laughing because the Premier League chairman mainly employ non-UK nationals, but that's been the case with most Championship clubs recently... Which is why I do not feel he will be poached.

The old Swansea boss was linked with Palace before Viera and Graham Potter moved to Brighton from the champ didn't he? But they probably only got those moves because of their profile in the media

The only way a manager from a Championship team will get a job in the PL is to get his club promoted
I can't remember the last PL to appoint someone from a lower division
Edit. Potter was but from Swansea, who had recently been a PL side

Not sure about that. A manager or player doesn’t get a move to higher division because there was a feature on the television! Cooper did get Swansea in the play offs

If he did that then he'd have taken us from League Two to the verge of the Premier League & won a cup along the way, all with the backdrop of the crap in the background and the much talked about "tiny budget". Essentially he'd have worked a minor miracle.

He's not going to be looked at by your Arsenals, but how many other managers would have that record on their recent CV? Somebody would be after him.

He's not a 'personality' which helps, very much under the media radar & not constantly looking to big himself up in interviews which other managers do.

I'm clutching at straws thinking about Championship examples other than Graham Potter to be honest, he was unique in that he managed abroad and had a brief moment in Europe with Ostersund. He spent one season or something with Swansea and was offered a PL gig - but he was very much a known profile, spoken about and that's what I think got him that gig.

Pep Guardiola once said in the media that Arteta was the best up and coming coach in Europe or something and that basically got him the Arsenal job.

He did really rather well at Rotherham.

Did alright at Barnsley too, whatever they say. They're bitter because he quit expecting a bigger club to approach him... and they didn't.

Given that he played for Norwich, and successfully too, it is feasible that they could go for him if Farke leaves, as all fans are partial to ex players coming back as managers. I think in my time supporting Cov we have had Gould, Curtis, Sillett, McAllister, Adams and Pressley as ex players given our manager's job. Most other clubs will have done the same I think.

I was thinking about this the other day. I genuinely think that if we do well this year (assuming we don’t get promoted - we won’t btw) then he could well be off…like that bloke from Barnsley last year.
He’s getting a lot of plaudits…even before this season…he’s bound to get more attractive offers sooner or later.
