Stoke is a shite away day full stop.
Watford is cracking due to location , accessibility and nearby boozers
Blackburn is ok , especially for away fan numbers, the surrounding area isn't much though
Blues is a good away day due to it being local and easy to get to, the number of boozers and its virtually city centre, there's usually a decent atmosphere too
Charlton is london so as with any london based club it's a great away day and easy to get to (if youre not driving)
Portsmouth was an ok away day apart from the locals looking like they're off some zombie movie, great atmosphere from the home fans.
Millwall-see Charlton
Always like going to Hull, nice cheap boozers and a friendly bunch on the whole, not a bad atmosphere either.
Oxford probably the worst away day of the lot or at least tied with Stoke
All my humble opinion obviously
Pretty much this. Ours, Stoke and Oxford are the worst.
I haven't really got anything positive to say about Stoke so id have that bottom.
Oxford is very slightly ahead of Stoke because of the town centre being decent.
Its hard to think of us from an away point of view but id probably have us above them both because of the train link and the novelty of a casino for a new fan.
Portsmouth was pretty fucking shit last season with nothing near the ground and an outside concourse. That was my first visit though and given the result and weather Ill give it another chance before I lump it in with the above shite.
Read the other day that the government has 'paused' the electrification program and I think that was one of the reasons given. Basically the trains we use are so fucking old nobody else has them so it's hard to hire in extra capacity so don't expect any improvement soon.

Not that my experience is comprehensive but I can't recollect being on a train or metro in any other country in the last decade that is a shabby as we have here (particularly in and to London).

A lot of our rolling stock is basically the old rolling stock from overseas that is no longer needed as they've modernised. We lease it in instead of buying our own rolling stock. The companies we lease from are of course the same companies who own our rail franchises.
We're pretty much subsidising other countries rail services at this point.
