The 12 worst stadiums in the EFL Championship named and ranked by AI

AI names and shames the Championship’s stadiums
footballleagueworld.co.uk

Football League World claims “ChatGPT said it considered “design, atmosphere, location, and general vibe” - and it didn’t hold back. Here are the stadiums that flunked the test - counting down from the worst.”

Counting down, the CBS coming 3rd - effectively 9th out of the 12 worst: “ChatGPT criticised the “corporate, disconnected feel” of the place, noting its awkward location and lack of character. Even with healthy attendances, it rarely generates a proper buzz.”

Is the CBS match day experience that bad?
Should Doug extend the Sky Blues stay at the CBS
Should City dust off the plans with Warwick University for a new build stadia
What should that stadia be, a complex to rival Man Utd’s plans or something closer to Sisu’s plans for a 15,000 seater stadium within the clubs financial means?

Release the dogs…

Not really bothered what Chat GPT vomits. Or what other stadiums are like.

Whatever you want to contribute. As @Flying Fokker says, it’s a nonsense article - but here Forum members can either put it right or share thoughts on the related talking points.

The only cider at Ewood Park was dark fruits, so that gets my vote.

I went to Stoke a couple of seasons back and it was dire. The Cov fans were urging them to join in with some singing and managed to get a few of them involved. Awful fans.

If you are not driving or in a coach it’s a pretty difficult place to get away from if you are an away fan. Even if driving you are likely to get stuck in somewhere like the Tesco car park if you haven’t booked well ahead somewhere .

Oddly Barring Stoke and Oxford most of those are some of the better away game atmospheres.

Agreed. Difficult to get to, nothing much to do pre-match and it’s a soulless bowl. Oxford is probably the runner up.

Watford serves no booze which is a gripe but tbh, I don’t tend to drink at the games. The location is great and there’s a lot of amenities so is a good away day!

What kind of an article is this, who gives a fuck what ChatGPT thinks is the worst away day? It doesn’t even have any supporter points.

Stoke is a shite away day full stop.
Watford is cracking due to location , accessibility and nearby boozers
Blackburn is ok , especially for away fan numbers, the surrounding area isn't much though
Blues is a good away day due to it being local and easy to get to, the number of boozers and its virtually city centre, there's usually a decent atmosphere too
Charlton is london so as with any london based club it's a great away day and easy to get to (if youre not driving)
Portsmouth was an ok away day apart from the locals looking like they're off some zombie movie, great atmosphere from the home fans.
Millwall-see Charlton
Always like going to Hull, nice cheap boozers and a friendly bunch on the whole, not a bad atmosphere either.
Oxford probably the worst away day of the lot or at least tied with Stoke
All my humble opinion obviously

QPR is pretty bad. Like the old school feel but the concourse is terrible and last time I went I queued for 10 mins for the pleasure of paying about £6 for a can of carlsberg poured terribly into a plastic cup.

Lol

Reminds me of last season, made the effort midweek. Restricted view seat and had to crane my neck out to see all of the pitch. And a pretty crap performance from us.

QPR, Portsmouth and Swindon are all places where I've had the thought that if anything serious happened you'd be fucked.

Guess the same can be said for a lot of older stadiums. Although saying that not sure how quickly you could clear the CBS if it was needed, especially the West Stand.

I love QPR away. Park the car at a train station car park then you can go wherever you like around London and not worry too much about missing the game as there's a couple of tube stations nearby. The ground is small and compact but a good experience for those who haven't been.

Stoke and Derby are quite ahit in my opinion. Both bowl stadiums a bit like ours but in the middle of nowhere.

Stoke and Oxford are the worst on that list by some margin. All the others have positives, I can't think of any for those two.

Derby has a decent atmosphere to be honest and is reasonably close to the station.

I can think of a massive positive for Stoke. We don't have to live there.

BBC midlands today is obsessed with Stoke with virtually every story somehow being linked with Stoke - it’s a shithole

QPR. A claustrophobic’s nightmare - not that I am one. It’s a shithole in general.

Worst in the current championship for me is Brum. away stand concourse is dirty, toilets small and over flowing and food and beer is rank on top of which they have some real bell end fans not to mention when you leave if youve left your car nearby it will be stripped.

The worst previous championship ground by a mile is Luton though. Thank god we havnt got to go there this year. Restricted views, shit seating and standing in rows not big enough. Non existent food and beer and the toilet facilities look like the outside lavs from the 1940s. The place is verging on dangerous and totally inadequate for modern day football. They then have the cheek to charge you top dollar for the worst view and experience ever
