I can't be bothered running through a whole team, but I would get Marcus Hall out of there straight away!

also;

Ironically (in an Alanis Morrisette way) I would have a guy called Steven Pressley at centre back.

Aloisi? Disagree.

We had a quality goalscorer in John Aloisi and we stuck him on the bloody bench half the time.

Plenty of players deserving of a spot though: Kyle Lightbourne, Leigh Jenkinson, Sandy Robertson, Kevin Drinkell, Steve Walsh, Robert Betts, Barry Quinn...... :facepalm:

Avramovic was the worst goalkeeper. Awful. Then there were the classic full backs Peter Hormanstuck and Andy Spring and the goalscoring prowess of Graham Withey. How we ever won a game with that lot I'll never know. Oh and Ashley Grimes as well.

CJ's selection is odd. He praises Coleman and Thorn yet the team consists of a lot of their combined managerial and scouted signings. Interesting.........

Oh memories. Sounds like you and me are from the same era Grendel.
Some of you younger fans wont remember these players, who were thankfully kept up by a hard core of better players like Gibson, Peake, Gynn, Bennett, Hunt etc

To add to the useless list there was Steve Jacobs in central midfield, Tommy Langley on loan up front and a complete tool, and Big Sam Allardyce was like a huge static lump of wood. Oh and Martin Jol, creative player once but with us he just used to get booked or sent off. Oh and not forgetting our former great captain, Wayne Turner.

Yeah I did a worst 11 once and allardyce was there and jol. Forgot turner and I never did understand Jacobs. Played over 100 games and never a good one.

As well as Langley we did of course have Bob Latchford - complete with Zimmer Frame.

Who was the foreign lad Mickey adams signed and played about 3 games for us? I can remember him having a shot from about 45 yards out at the ricoh and it barely reached the goal

Yep i seem to recall Latchford scoring with a deflection off the zimmer frame. Static was an understatement.

Slightly off topic, as he scored a few and i saw a lot worse, Alan Brazil played for us shortly after this.
I went to Ipswich once and went to his pub there, and it was full of pictures of him playing for us, which I thought was a little odd as we were in Ipswich and there were very few pictures of him playing for them, or Spurs or Man Utd.
Even stranger only half the locals had travelled by tractor that night...wonder how the rest of them got into town.
