Nearly forgot Kevin Kyle...add him to the list, might as well put Freddy Eastwood in as well. What a waste of 2 million they were.

Surprised Eastwoods only just been mentioned. Him and Kevin kyle take some beating as a useless front pair.

The problem with Eastwood is, Coleman used to play him left wing most of the time. I can't remember him playing 5-6 games in a row up top.

I'm more surprised no ones mentioned Simeon Jackson. Awful.

Just had the name Jamie McMaster pop in my mind...

Eastwood actually went on a bit of a run when he got some games in a row I think?

Must have been his attitude because he got dropped

Didn't he come up with a silly excuse for missing an open goal away at Blackpool in the league cup? from memory think he said the lights from the Blackpool tower shone into his eyes as he was about to shoot?

Lee Mills was initially on loan from Pompey. During his first game at HR everyone sang 'Sign him up, sign him up, sign him up'.

We did. And, after that, he was crap.

But he was not the worst.

Lightbourne was clueless

I remember that. Scored two in two games I think.

Not having Hughes. Paid over the odds but scored about 15 goals in his first season.

Never forgiven him for feigning injury after that miss, fucking awful.

Has to be given a lot of slack for scoring at Villa though for our first ever away win there, and certainly made Dublin and Huckerby massively up their game that season with him as competition.

John Gayle though for me though for worst ever striker.

For failing to live up to Champ Manager legend status, Nii Lamptey.

For being a waste of money for all but his last contracted year, Julian Joachim.

For being a bucket of excrement, Eddie Johnson.

Maybe that's what slowed him down.

After looking up a few of these strikers on Wikipedia, it's amazing how many of them scored goals for every club they played at except Coventry.

Has to be Howarth and Lightbourne as they come as a pair.

Also honourable mentions for Madine, Eccleston, Jackson, Bellamy and O'Donovan. I'd give most frustrating to either Bothroyd or Nouble. Had a medium to high and medium levels of ability respectively but their attitudes stank. Both couldn't be arsed. The whole reason why Wenger let Bothroyd go for a relatively small sum says a lot about him.

Was serving a 5 or 6 week suspension in the Australian A-League for head butting. Only time he connected with his head.

Simon Haworth was absolute gash. Drinkell came with a serious injury which wasn't picked up by the club before he signed because they did no medical at all other than telling Drinkell he had to get a reference letter from his GP. Thus we spunked all of our profits from winning the cup on a crock from Gers. It's all in his autobiography.

Adebola ???

Was crap until he was loaned out then was much improved on his return. His FA cup goal at Blackburn remains one of my top City moments
