Just for fun.

Imagine come January all our loans go back bar Murphy and we're told no-one can come in.

Let's say we're still top by a point on Jan 16th when Armstrong goes back.

Would this team go up, assuming no long term injuries?

Wouldn't bet on it going up, think it would be enough to see us into a play off position at the end of the season though.

In fairness if we did lose all our non season term loans we would replace them ok you may not get another AA, Kent or Turner but having seen TM's working they'll be players that improve the side plus being at the right end of L1 helps with getting better quality loans.

No. Would worry about Phillips and Lameiras. Both have a part to play for sure, but I would like to see more consistency, especially for the right back role.

It might via the play-offs but we could forget about automatic promotion. But the worst-case scenario is that TM leaves.

That's not actually a bad team for a worst case.

However that team wouldn't be good enough for a top 6 postion at the start of the season. Because of that I think we'd just about miss out on the play-offs, considering where we are now.

Having said that we will get one or two players in during January so I think we will make the top 6 at least, but we have to aim for the top 2 now.

I think that team would do ok but Murpy aside the pace is gone and that would be a worry. The other worry of course would be no plan B. OK if all stay fit but kids after that.

I think we'd get top 6, but not sure if we'd win the playoffs. Obviously it wouldn't happen and I'd expect 4 more loans in should everyone go back (or 3 and one for emergencies). I'd also expect Lorentzson to sign and possibly a CB permanently.
