They do seem to be playing 'stress free' at 6fields which shows in the results. Is that due to the manager and a young side? Maybe pointing towards the manager (we seen how we faired with our previous young side who got relegated from the Championship). The fans do make a difference but we certainly wouldnt get 20k there, alot of people are comitted to NOPM but wont even go if ew moved back to the Ricoh. We would go back to the usual 10-12k attendances and i would pray that wouldnt negatively impact on our performances.

I, personally, and my council colleagues will do all we can to make this happen. But, once again, nothing has changed in terms of our responsibilities to Coventry taxpayers. The sums need to add up - in terms of revenue and cost to play at the Ricoh Arena. The arena is owned 50% by the Council and 50% by the Higgs Charity - and we own it on behalf of the people of Coventry. I will not short change them. The Ricoh Arena is a great asset, and it deserves a great future

That says to me that they'll (quite rightly) be looking for freehold market value and sisu don't do market value.

Ann Lucas said she wants the team back at the Ricoh for Xmas, she didn't say what year though?

EVERYTHING about CCFC is a worry for those that care enough. Mainly because if your owners can get away with moving us out of our rightful stadium due to a hissy-fit over a previously acceptable agreement...it appears there are no longer any predictables, so nothing is certain.

So your saying if we weren't playing as well that the fans at sixfields would moan?

They would put up with rubbish football 30 miles from home and be happy with it?

Very strange we are the worst supporters in the world only ones that moan about our team.

You should buy yourself a radio and tune in to 606 on a Saturday, or ant other local BBC station when there team has lost.

Can you tell me what part of charging an extortionate amount for a stadium, which the club struggled with from day one was 'previously acceptable'

I am sorry Dong but if we move back to the Ricoh we will not be getting 20,000 through the gate, I doubt we will even get as high as 15,000 IMO.

Not every game will have the same motivational factors as the Wolves game, i.e local derby. Yes they played in front of a big crowd, but that could have easily been away draw in the FAC or under similar circumstances which would have provided a game with a big crowd. As I have said in an earlier post we will be very lucky to reach 15,000 if we return to the Ricoh.

Well it was previously acceptable for the club because they signed the deal didn't they. We all know it was a high rent we were paying for all those years but it is old news now surely. Everyone has moved on because we now know its not the real reason this is happening.

i'm starting to think you would be better off staying at sixfields when the club starts playing at home again, it seems to match your ambition of what you expect from your football club.

i want to see the sky blue's back in the top flight during my life time and it would be nice if we can do that in a ground that is fitting for top flight football, not non-league.

On the subject of fans booing players , it happens at every club from the Man Utds to the dog and duck reserves on a sunday morning, it happens at every game I have ever been too, and will continue to happen at every club in the future.

So we as a club are no different to the rest,and I really dislike when we seem to be labelled by some on here as being unique in this matter. As a club I feel we have great fans who have followed us through the thin and thinner years,(lets not get into the sixfields argument again), and they have stuck by the club in good numbers.

If your sat by a twonk booing the team tell him to FO and go and support someone else, I would do this in a heartbeat ,especially now if he is booing the youngsters who are representing us at the moment.These lads need encouraging not barracking ,so stand up for them in the stands if you feel a person is booing them unjustly. We should be proud we have such a young and exciting team atm and I would be bloody angry if I was sat near a twat who was barracking them,and i'll let him know that, and so should everyone else

On another matter, this RFC character seem to be oddly really enjoying watching Coventry play in another town, in a shite stadium and infront of small crowds. How can a supporter of Coventry City Fc wish they stay at sixfields, it is very puzzling in the extreme.

Obviously (as pointed out by others) the deal was signed initially. Subsequently, SISU (under whatever guise at the time) signed up to the agreement in buying the club.

Looks peanuts really to the amount Sisu backers took out the club in interest fees etc.

A team going up the Championship towards the Premiership would snap there hands off. Sisu put that one to bed by poor management and poor appointments.

Not aware anyone is defending it from a what's good for CCFC perspective. Nor would I attack ACL for getting top-dollar from anyone willing to pay it.
Once the agreement is in place however...any of us would be forced to pay up or ship out. That is what SISU have done...for a good (on the face of it) motive i.e. Unite the club & stadium under one ownership.
Their tactics I find abhorrent!
