I don't know about you but I'm quite looking forward to it.

Up next Afghanistan 2038, North Korea 2042 then Israel 2046 (they should have murdered all the Palestinians by then).

If FIFA can pull their finger out and melt the ice caps faster, ground conditions could be soft enough for Arctic 2038.

It’ll be January/February 34 or 35. They originally planned for it to be November/December 34 but Ramadan is pretty much exactly the same time as the Qatar dates which makes it unworkable. Having it in our winter should never be a factor in deciding a host. For example if Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay hosted alone in 2030 the chances are that would have to be in our winter. Too many stadiums in cold places. Some of the stadiums in the original bid are looking at temperatures close to 0°C in June and July.

They do but not when 15(ish) stadiums are needed due there being 48 teams. The original bid highlighted it as an issue.

Potential of doing multiple games in a day like in Qatar.

They can build stadiums in places that aren't cold, there's enough of them there.

Another nail in the coffin of football as we knew it. I read a report in the Telegraph ( not my paper of choice) online and it described the way that it was bulldozed into the calendar. The Arabs and their oil money have gone a long way to manipulate and destroy the game as a fair contest and this will be the icing on their cake.
To think what good could be done in the world with the money they will chuck at this !

Still expecting the Saudi clubs to be eventually allowed into the Champions League somehow
