Trying to find the the Mens FA Cup scores on the BBC sport website I had to first scroll past the Scottish SWF Cup whatever that is. Renfrew beat Westdyke 8-4 if anyone's interested

I don't know much about Women's Football and there may be some added context I am missing

But what a nasty and bitter piece of work Mary Earps has come across the past few days

Just looks to be incredibly bitter over not being picked.

Hannah Hampton is a better keeper than her, she would of still been in the squad as well.

Seems sore that Man United replaced her with an even better keeper as well.

I wonder if Man U are regretting the decision to play their Women's Champions League against PSG at Old Trafford last night? Attendance 14k did not look good!

Just watched the last portion of MUvMC 3-0 to city, I was pretty mesmerized it just seemed like faster than the men's typical game, the pace, physicality, I guess if the players are on station everyone, especially the GK, can move the ball faster, take away from the match, tempo is king.

Just reading an article that states what they describe as a flagship WSL game, between Arsenal and Chelsea, was watched by just 55.900 people on Sky Sports Main Event, with another 15,100 watching on Sky Sports Premier League.

Compare that to what it was 5 years ago. And compare the attendance to what what it was 5 years ago.

Day and night difference. Just because it's smaller than mens attendances (obvs), doesn't mean it can't be flagship.

How many do we reckon tuned in to watch Cov v WBA?

(not trying to score points for/against women’s football here, just curious to understand what our/the reset of the championship sky viewing figures are like. Anyone any idea?)

Well you'd expect it to be increasing wouldn't you given that when the current deal was signed the press release touted it as 'the biggest broadcast deal of any professional women's football league in the world'.

Hard to find viewing figures as a lot of historical data is 'top 10s' and similar where the WSL games don't feature but did find randomly in an article the figure for Man Utd vs Reading in 2021 which was also on Sky Sports and had a viewing figure of 366,000.

Won't be available yet but looking at past viewing figures you're probably looking at something in the 350-550K range. I remember when Wasps fans were talking about the negotiations for a new Premiership TV deal being worth a fortune, at the time we weren't in the championship yet the viewing figures for one of our live games was more than all their games combined for the season
