Is the hype dieing off again? I've just seen England lost to Belgium earlier. I had no idea they were playing.

Their games are live on ITV.

They were live on ITV 1 on Friday night. Though I do think they were sidelined a bit last night by the Champions League going on at the same time.

The only reason i knew there was any women's football was because i had to scroll through pages of international results on the BBC app before i got to the EFL scores to see how they would affect us! How are the attendances holding up?

That does my head in, they should have a separate page for women's football and results. I was look for the championship score on Friday and there was so many meaningless women's results on there I couldn't see it. I didn't know until Sunday that Middlesbrough beat Blackburn

It's a good point. Split it down to men's and women's football. You can still have the England women winning a game, as the top headline, but then the link takes you to the women's football page.

It is a bit daft having to scroll lots of women's football scores to get to anything lower than Premier League level info

I am pretty sure they don't split it because they would lose shit loads of exposure. They get loads of traffic / views about women's football by misleading people into thinking it's the men's.

I mean, they literally do split the womens football out onto it's own page.

And to the OPs post, I'm not sure you can say interest is dying because the women lost last night!

Attendances and interest are up.

I think the OP is on about the scores landing page which does elevate womens football above EFL fixtures.

Exactly that

The Championship scores were quite a few finger scroll strokes down in order to find them.

No more or less meaningless than any other result.

I don't care about Iceland Women Vs Norway, I'm sure most people don't. It's meaningless

Good result for Andorra, though.

On a list of all the things that aren't worth caring about, I'd guess the order that football results are reported on the BBC website must rank quite highly.

It's quite a few scrolls.

I think I counted about 6.

I have no problem with women's football. I really like it and I don't wish to see it marginalised, but it's a bit daft I think having the women's international results before the Championship scores.

I think you could have the home international results and then have to click there to catch all the other international results.

Just all seems to be a bit superfluous.

Why are Scottish premier higher than the Championship?
Why is Champions league higher than the Championship even when no British teams are involved and there's loads of domestic football?
So many questions

I was actually referring to the fact I was totally oblivious to the fact the national team was playing until after the event. That is despite reading sports areas of some reputable and some not so reputable news outlets websites during the day.

Why isn't it big news that England are playing like when the men play. Mens internationals aren't a shock, women's do seem to be to me at least.

If we put a tariff on women's football. That would sort it.

I don't think any of us will be happy until Coventry City's results are right at the top of the top page.

You could argue quite plausibly that there's more interest in the England team than most Championship clubs, though, and if you are listing the England score, then it's logical to list the associated matches with it.

I do agree that Iceland v Norway is a very niche interest. But then it is in the men's game too, but nobody would really mention that.

Ultimately, if there's a match on, the BBC will tell you the score. The number of scrolls to find it really doesn't matter.

Did last night

I had a radio show and wanted to keep checking the scores and it was taking me quite a while each and every single time.

No international games last night and it would have been almost instantaneous.

So it did matter, to me at least.

Football sites tend to make it clear when they’re talking about women’s football with the accompanying photos and names in the headlines. I would say if you’re accidentally clicking on women’s football stories on a regular basis then it’s more likely user error than deliberate misleading.

BBC Sport sometimes uses "Women's Football" as the category, but sometimes "Football", which can be confusing on the app as the pictures are too small to see properly. And when the headline is "Chelsea put 4 past Man City", i don't necessarily know whether Chelsea Men have played Man City Men that day, so i get tricked into clicking it!

Because the men has so many teams and now women having separate pages would be logical. It can't be that hard to do. Just had another look. Women’s friendlies on the same page as championship games, Chile v Haiti, Ivory Coast v Kenya. This is the BBC so would explain it

Sky like to do it during games as well. "THE MANCHESTER DERBY THIS SUNDAY". Then it's "Oh, it's the women".

Pretty sure they started throwing in random transfers as well.

Not sure I said I was "tricked".

I said it's intentionally merged together to mislead and get more clicks to the shit about the women's games.

Have a look on the BBC site under "Football" from a smaller screen and you can see why people click on stuff...

All the women’s football stories on the BBC site are accompanied by captions reading “Women’s Football” and pictures of women. Sorry to say, if you were “misled” by that I think it’s actually just a skill issue.

You could argue that people should just delete the BBC Sport app from their phones so that they can use the BBC Sport website that you are talking about without being redirected.

Whilst I take your point about the BBC Website, the BBC Sport app makes it almost impossible to distinguish and not have Women's Football content prioritised which I find really annoying.

I follow a Women's Football team and have been to watch England Women too. I'm just not sure why it needs to be made so difficult on the BBC Sport app to not have Women's football content prioritised.

Yeah, exactly and though women's football does have it's own link on the page, if you just go to football scores, the women's come up. It lists all the football scores and last night I had to keep scrolling down about 6 times to get past the women's scores, to get to the Championship scores and when you are checking that every 5 mins or so, it can be very laborious

Is it really much of an issue to scroll a bit more mate?

Unless you've got finger issues, I don't see the problem.
