I believe it's a 2pm kick-off today
Wolves are likely to play their U21 team
Reckon we'll give a few of our youngsters a start too

Would love to see Kastaneer get a game seeming as he hasn’t had a look in on the first team games. I really don’t wanna throw in the towel on him just yet, I’d rather see him up front than Baka if I’m honest

Wouldn't be surprised. I'm sure the management team won't be resting on their laurels and will want to continue the excellent work they've done in bolstering young talent in the U23s this year. You only have to look at the success stories of Hyam, Westbrooke and McCallum to show that this model clearly works and benefits the club.

Must make us an attractive option for young lads released by the top academy’s too.

Exactly. The success stories of the above mentioned will only serve to act as invaluable case studies for the club. Especially at this stage where there are concerns that hundreds of free agents could be left without a club for the foreseeable future due to the current situation. The more success stories we can generate, the better quality of prospect we can inevitably attract.

Tbh I'd have liked to have seen it work out
But to be an unused sub at Ibrox then not even in the squad at Swindon gives an idea of the way it's going
I think the blame lies at the lad's own door

Do you think they had him back in the first couple of weeks training to see if his attitude/fitness had improved?

He's on a contract isn't he, so there's not a lot we can do. Shame if it's all because he can't knuckle down (and i'm not saying he hasn't) - but does seem to have been 'bombed' as compared to jobello.

Yeah he just seemed to feature more in the training videos etc at the start of the season compared to now, potentially speaking with other clubs

Come on then what would a future stars XI look like right now?

Total guesses just to bring STP out the woodwork to correct me:

Bilson
Thompson Drysdale Williams
Rowe Burroughs Eccles Newton
Bapaga N’Gandu
Bremang

?

The ones who have been with the first team in training/minutes in games are Thompson, Drysdale, Williams, Burroughs, Eccles and Bapaga so you’d imagine they’re the closest

Stick him in at the back for Drysdale and move Williams across then.

I refuse to continue to count Ponti as a future star as it feels like he’s been at the club forever.

Would you sell/let go now or give him another loan to national league/ league 2

As much as I like Ponti, I can’t help but feel unless the club drops back down the divisions we’ve surpassed him and he’s at an age where he needs regular football. I’d tell him he’s free to go if he can find a club.

I’d tend to agree, I think in the right system in a lower league he could score goals, next move is massive for him.

The issue is, we said the exact same thing this time last last season. It was clearly a mistake sending him on loan to Tranmere - something that at the time raised a lot of eyebrows - and he probably would've been better suited being sent to a League Two or perhaps National League club.

Personally I think the boat has sailed for Ponti at CCFC. But I do think that if he landed at a club at either level mentioned above he'd score goals. So, I certainly think it would be in our interest to send him out on loan to a lower league club (at a more realistic level) in order to potentially capitalise on his value by selling him on if he finds success. Similar to what Rotherham has done with Jerry Yates. It would be good business and we literally have nothing to lose by not doing this.
