I was thinking that myself, so they spent £1 million on him? Just shows when you have the parachute payments and huge home attendances, you have money to burn. If he doesn't score before end of the season that's £1million a goal

no I just meant Wolves won't use him in the championship, so would they terminate the contract so they have to pay up 2-3 years wages? but again, wolves have enough money anyway

agreed, unfortunately a million quid is great business, but doesn't mean jack until it's reinvested into the squad

I doubt he'd be loaned back to us. Probably whoever gets relegated from championship will take him on

You just wait until we count the pennies from our home crowds then you will see.,..if that doesn't excite you then just wait until we count the pennies from our 7000/9000/12000/13000/15000/23000 new stadium.

How do Wolves get that level of attendence in league 1...? It's only a suburb of Birmingham...

I'd imagine they still have retained most of their Premier League support. In 2002 we averaged 16k after being relegated.

So genuine question here, I don't see Clarke getting much of a chance in the championship and from what I hear a lot of their fans want him gone already.

Would you take him back next season if he became available?

i was watching final score today and Steve Claridge said "i am pleased for the Wolves fans who deserve today due to what they have had to go through in the past few years"

:thinking about:

I wouldn't have him back, he is a shit player, really shit. Way too old, although I was really outraged we sold him as he was a great player.

I wouldn't have him back. He's like SISU, I couldn't trust him to do a good job.
