I’ve just turned 60, and I started going to games with my dad when I was five, hence its been a long long journey we’ve been onto together, which can only be summed up perfectly by the word, rollercoaster.

My personal low was sat away on a Tuesday or Wednesday night with about 600 other Skyblues, on the coldest night I’ve ever watched Cov, at Colchester‘s Soul less stadium in league two, when we were mid table in the bottom league, though we won with a couple of crackers from McColdrick, I just thought I was witnessing my once great club about to spend the next 5 years in the bottom rung of English professional football.

We have had the terrible SISU years, I’ve watched my team play ‘home’ in Northampton, a huge low, but I’ve also had some the greatest days of my life, the early Seventies with Ernie Hunt, Willie Carr ,Mick Coop who I met once and loved, & the later years of Ian Wallace & Mick Ferguson , Mickey Quinn , Darren Huckerby, Keano et all, who I absolutely all adored.
I have watched my team play in Europe, at home twice, once beating a great Bayern Munich side, though in typical Cov style we were 6-0 down from first leg , that contained half the German National team, plus of course the great FA cup run of 1987 where every game went to the wire, but I’ve got to say, I loved today so much, as much as the games ive mentioned.

For a club/team in total turmoil 5/6 years ago, to go away and beat and out play, an established top half Prem team, it’s right up there in my memories

O’Neil just sounds like a whiney bitch. Let’s see how he does next season - you always see the real side of people when things don’t go well.

I like Gary O'Neill, but this quote stinks of sour grapes:

He's made far too much of the ball boy incident too who was basically just taught a lesson about not being too cocky.

Almost irrelevant at the moment, but that's probably another £££££ s in the bank from ticket sales, prize money plus TV stuff. Get ready for the half and half semi final scarves merchandise

£450k for winning today

What I’m really looking forward to now is every single game between now and Wembley the fans singing que sera sera were going to Wembley. Something about that song that just hits properly.

Just watching this Man City game and I really really hope we don’t get them in the semis. Not just because we’d almost certainly lose, but the way they strangle games is just an atmosphere killer.

If we get Chelsea we should wear the red and blue chequered shirt in honour of Franc Leboeuf having a strop after we beat them when they had to wear the same kit.

Palmer carded in 100th minute after already subbed???? (Someone mentioned entering field of play without bib? Celebration?)

I like Kasey, a lot. BUT stop getting booked unnecessarily.
But if anyone gambles, always worth 5£ for Palmer to get booked for non-foul reasons.

Right. Still in shock. That one hit differently today, I’m knackered.

Team absolutely excellent today. All of them. I’ll single out Sheaf though as he was absolutely phenomenal. Maybe they did have an off day you could quite clearly hear the moans and groans from the natives - but we still had to work hard and be our best. You could see the difference in quality in the few moments they switched on and attacked. But we were brave and I’m proud of how we didn’t cave in after going behind, we could still smell blood and we took it. We equalised and I thought they’d step it up in ET… you know the rest.

Classic. Absolutely brilliant, City. An away day that will struggle to be beaten. Can’t wait to show my face at Molineux next Monday!

Man City are a small club with plastic fans who play boring football. Real Madrid will tear them a new one. If we get them we should leave our foot in every challenge and wind them up and make it physical and ugly and chant Englund as often as we can as they have too many foreigners.

Naturally. I'd've done the same.
Think I'm just a bit peeved as I didn't realize it happened at the time. Also just saw it was our only booking? The lads didn't make much clumsy challenges today which is a huge plus; we'd been shooting ourselves as of late, good discipline makes a difference

Still watching that Haji goal again, first the stunner against Watford, I think this one might be even better technically, takes it first time and through a crowd of players just perfectly bends it right in the perfect place.

The lay off from Simms as well, perfection. I've watched that goal again and again, it's just great football and great to watch.
