Simms playing well but terrible miss. Not sure MVE on the wing is a total success. Eccles outstanding cover and Sheaf coming into it as the half went on.

What are you on about?! MvE has got into good positions and consistently put in dangerous crosses against a top half Prem team

Really proud of the team there.

Yes, a few sloppy balls and losing possession, but no-one has been poor.

Sheaf has been our best player, but everyone else has done well and it shows that Palmer can't only do okay against lesser opposition.

He's not had a bad half at all and has played some lovely balls through.

More of the same please. Great effort from all.

when O'hare gets on later we need to get him at Ait Nouri and try to get him sent off

Simms has got his weekly sitter miss out the way now, so hopefully he'll get a hat trick in the 2nd half this week.

I think VAR would have shown him to be offside.

Simms has been brilliant all bar the miss that wouldn't have stood anyway. Hopefully half time doesn't stop the flow as we are in the ascendency. If we keep our shape we'll frustrate these. And maybe pull off an upset.

I think we've played really well so far and deserve to have a couple of goals on the board, a couple of dodgy moments at the back but on the whole we should be ahead. Hope we can keep it going in the second half as the roof is ready to come off

Don't know why we don't tell whoever is coming off to take a booking before and get into him.

Wright and Simms also oddly have looked better in this game together than most championship games

Ait Nouri getting booked early has been great for MVE having freedom down the right. Great refereeing for once.

Think Palmer starting is at least in part because Robins has an eye on this game going beyond 90 minutes - neither Palmer nor O’Hare can go the distance but if you have to pick one who’d be on the pitch for extra time and penalties then it’s an obvious choice.

Sheaf has been far and away our best player.

Eccles has been good though

Both have been very good.

I think Eccles has been smarter and cannot remember him putting a foot wrong or making a single mistake. That's why he has had the edge.

The large quality pitch is really benefiting us. Simms baggy touch doesn’t look half as bad

This game is really in the balance, it could go either way but I think we'll nick this and win 1-0

Well, I thought we'd get tonked so I'm very happy we've looked their equal so far. MVE & Sheaf playing well. Ait-Nouri looks so dangerous for them and when they get their one touch passing going in midfield they can slice through us.

We need to focus on Simms performance not just his miss. He's played really well.

He wasn't offside from Bidwell's pass which is the relevant part of play. The question is whether Bidwell was offside.

MVE’s been better than I thought there. We’ve tried it there once before right, and the previous time it really didn’t work?
SBT said:
Really entertaining open game and we’re playing very well. Simms’ miss was atrocious but he’s having a very good game overall. Palmer’s final ball leaves a lot to be desired but he’s causing them problems - he’ll be spent soon, so have him go hell for leather for 10/15 and then bring on Torp - we could do with a set piece threat.

Latibeaudiere looks like the weak link but it feels like a game where you will need more than one goal to win it.
Largely agree, first 20 mins Lati looked rattled, but then seemed to settle and he’s been much better. He seems the least technically gifted player in the 11 today but has a bit of guts and desire about him.

It hit his heel didnt it. A bit unlucky, but still, he has to at least hit the target.

The whole team have. Not sure if it’s the fact the pitch is a lot higher quality than most in the championship or that wolves are giving us some space l, but I feel this is the best we’ve played in a long time.

We don’t look like the plucky underdog grafters you’d expect, we’re just trying to play our normal game!

We have kept their crowd quiet too. They were probably expecting what we did against Maidenhead.

I think they were more concerned when they saw Sheaf on our team sheet tbh

Two players offside Simms and Bidwell in the build up

Could be really useful to bring in a fresh O'Hare second half.

I think you’ve missed the point. It’s not that Robins doesn’t rate Palmer - he clearly does. It’s about setting up for a game which might go 120 minutes.
