What a silly comment. On one hand you're criticising CCC for letting Wasps have a 250 year lease; then insinuating they'll up sticks.

In the 24th century, maybe...

Me for real? You hate our hedge fund owners with a history for moving teams and yet want to replace them with a hedge fund with a history for moving teams?

Novelty? Yep. When the freebies start running out and crowds start to dwindle, what's to stop them from playing the "we have to move to survive" card? After all they have a big loan to repay.

Anyway, last word from me. I want to concentrate on our fine new manager and the renewed optimism in our team.

And Chris Catlin was great and agreed with every word from our owners to a call to our fans to forget off field issues and to simply support thd team.

All I want is the club and the Ricoh united which is never going to happen under SISU and never was because of the way they went about it, any idiot could see that and that's why I hate them along with everything else they've fucked up for the club since their arrival which is basically everything.

This idiotic scare mongering about them moving the club is just so pathetic. It would never happen. They would sell up first. Where would they move Coventry City football club to that would make survival more likely than in Coventry?

If, if wasps ever did buy us we'd still be owned by a bunch of cunts but we'd also be in an infinitely better place than we are with SISU and of field distractions like court cases and bullshit stadiums in a different town would be gone. Who knows we might even end up with owners with at least one eye on the team instead of none.

Ah yes idiotic scaremongering, i remember that. There were lots of folk on here saying sisu shouldn't get the Ricoh as they would liquidate the club as soon as they got tgeir "grubby mitts" on the Arena.

Anyway, we disagree. A fresh start without Wasps or Sisu would make me more than happy.

It is impressive some of the posters who have dropped in now Wasps have been mentioned. Nothing when we got 2 decent wins though.

Let me get this straight, you have the most vocal protestors about hating SISU for moving our club who now seem to be the ones who like Wasps and saying them owning the club wouldn't be that bad?

How does that work?

Screw them all, ideally I don't want any of them about.

I'm just guessing, but it could be all about the Ricoh? Not the club, not Wasps, not Sisu - just the stadium.

Decent wins? Chesterfield and Fleetwood Town? Just goes to show how low expectation has become under the management you support so vehemently.

What about if our downward spiral continued and we got relegated again? Would wins in League Two still be 'decent'?

I would want us to win in a pre season friendly at the Memorial Park.

Makes no difference to me. I support Coventry City and wins at any level are welcome.

Your criteria is obviously different.

Obviously, it can all be about SISU then. Hence some people haven't been on much while we win.

Yes. My criteria is different. Having to beat Fleetwood Town and Chesterfield to drag our sorry arses away from a relegation battle to save us falling into the 4th division isn't by any measure 'decent'. It's shocking

What in the fact it has to be about SISU / Wasps / Council rather than blokes kicking a ball about?

Of course I would like to be beating Man U and Chelsea, but when you compare a win like the last 2 compared to the shite Pressley and Thorn were providing for so long it is decent.

Look forward to seeing you post about football when we're back in the Premiership then.

im afraid ,Mary, that some supporters have moved on and reset their general goals and ambitions . Their default position is to survive . I, similar to you still shake my head in despair at a laboured win at Chesterfield and celebrations at back to back wins while watching the worst back 4 we've had for as long as I can remember is a pale reflection to were we once were.

We haven't had back to back wins since September. Therefore you've got to be a bit odd to not think back to back wins in the last two games isn't a little out of the ordinary before you even consider that we were going into the drop zone and pretty much everyone was saying we were going down before the wins. Of course I'd prefer it to be wins against Chelsea and Man City but that's a touch unrealistic given the division we're in.

You're right. Some have indeed moved on and accept we're in the third tier now. Some haven't and think we're still in the Premiership. Doesn't mean we want to be in L1.

You have a short memory as when we were in the top flight our default position was....survival.

MMM and yourself might try and belittle our support with the quite frankly pathetic " reset their general goals" quip and the pompous "I'm not happy about wins in League One" attitude. Odd considering that is our position. If you don't "reset your general goals" then you don't live in the real world. It ain't 1997. I don't think the win at Chesterfield was laboured either but fully deserved, but what do i know? I'm just a fan who turns up and cheers these pathetic little victories.

Anyway I'll leave you both to your misery and breast beating and I'll look forward to another win today even though we're not playing Arsenal or United..

Yes. One badly supported loss making team joining another is a match made in heaven. Were you really a lawyer?

Quite a lot of anger there Torch for an early morning post . I do remember the survival battles in the top division and how we became accustom to the yearly battle . At the same time i remember villa fans going ape about the fact that they were languishing mid table. Different expectations . I celebrate every city win but cant help venting anger against the main reason we are were we are .

Yes, I feel anger towards our owners and everyone who has contributed to where we are today. Does that mean I shouldn't support them and cheer every victory as much as I did when we were in the top flight? There are too many, in my opinion, who live in the past and not the present. We are where we are. Sad, but true.

Catlin was spot on last night. The club needs you, support them.

You're thinking of Morse, although that was in fact a Mk2 Jaguar. Gene Hunt had a Mk3 GXL Cortina (the later face lift model that didn't have the tasty slopping dashboard that the earlier ones had) in Roman Bronze. I had one just like it in Onyx Green many moons ago.
