We are top.of the League and scoring for fun, we shouldn't change a winning formula when its working so we'll.

I rate Rudoni as one of the very best players in the Championship, but I would put him on the bench and give him 20 mins here and there while this run continues.
For me he starts when someone gets a knock or needs resting.

Had he of been available he would of started instead of Allen in the last couple of games imo, so I dont think it will be long before he gets a chance to start.

We've not had the same starting 11 in consecutive games for 5 games on the spin now.

Torp didn't play the last game anyway and the midfield has been different for many games in this run. Eccles started against both Birmingham and Millwall. You have an overly simplistic view on 'dropping' players.
Rudoni is arguably our best player, he's been brilliant for a prolonged period of time and the manager will want him back in when fully fit.

For me. If everyone is fit, our best midfield (at this moment in time) is BTA, Torp and Grimes.

BTA has more than earnt the right to keep his place, so if Rudoni was to start, it would probably be at the expense of EMC

We were scoring for fun with him too.

Like you said it's not like we have a concrete 11 each week anyway due to injuries so should be easy enough for him to get back in

Why change a winning formula?
As was shown with Ben Sheaf's omittance - We pick up more points without him.

True, but the one consistant has been no Rudoni.

In truth its a lot more to do with the outstanding form of BTA who has had such an impact that we havnt missed Rudoni.

Its up to Frank to try and shoehorn both into the starting line up.

But what a great problem to have, we haven't got the biggest of squads, but there is some top talent to chose from.

Ya think if everyone fit it will be grimes torp rudoni

With bra emc or saka missing out on a game by game basis depending on lampard and the opposition etc

BTA is not part of our best midfield as he doesn't really play as a midfielder, hence we bypass it a lot, playing to the strengths of the available players. He was incredibly effective wide in a front 3 too where he was also getting into central positions a lot.
I like all of EMC, Wright, Sakamoto but on balance if I was putting out a strongest 11 I'd maybe have BTA in for EMC currently. I think Lampard will switch them around a lot though so I wouldn't concentrate too hard on 'best 11'.

Attack wise ive not hid the fact i think we are better when BTA plays right over saka .. hes more direct plays a bit more like an inside forward .

I personally wouldnt take EMC out of the team

One thing I will say is BTA simply has to play atm. I don't think it matters where
Still don't know what they did to him in the summer.

Be very interesting to see what Frank does once Rudoni gets match fit.
But having a fit Rudoni available should keep everyone on their toes.

Everyone is going to get plenty of games as the squad is hardly stacked. Wright is our CF when fully fit and Simms is his backup. EMC, Rudoni, Saka was the first choice 3 behind him but BTA has forced his way in and is effective in all 3 positions. That's about it in forward areas really unless I'm having a senior moment? They'll all play loads.

We don't control games as well without him and we're playing in a way that leaves us more open. Don't think we'll keep our streak going too long playing like we did vs. Watford and to an extent vs. Portsmouth. I'd want him starting games as soon as he's fit enough.

It's weird it's not first time I seen posters try put him down this season

Excellent player and he will be back in first 11 very soon after being passed fit I think

But we've seen two many times in the past where we've rushed players back in (often through necessity) and it's eventually led to them having severe long term injury problems.

When we've got a team doing well and have the luxury of not having to do that, then why would you? Give him the chance to get completely fit and ease him back in off the bench.

Chances are with our intensity he'll be back in due to another player's injury soon enough anyway.

Yeah, might be letting the end of that game colour my judgement but I remember Chaplin having a couple of good chances and us seeming more vulnerable than we'd looked for a while e.g. vs. Millwall.

They didn't really have any clear cut chances did they? Chaplin had a shot from 20 yards

It was a fairly widespread opinion amongst their supporters that we were the best side so far to have visited Fratton.

Yeah, and we played well, but the little chink in the armour we saw in patches that night was exploited by Watford and we got away with a few bits.

Just think we'll get caught being so no open in midfield before long and I'd rather we controlled games a bit more. Rudoni would help with that.

Think Haji is suffering a bit too and our wing play is better with him in the team. I’d be bringing him in as soon as he’s fit.

its Not a bad problem to have, seeing as we thought our squad wouldn’t be big enough, rudoni/EMC, Hayden woolfenden, and simms on the bench, not bad

I think we have been a little fortunate at times this season and I predicted on another thread recently that we would at some point be on the wrong end of a bit of a walloping - Not met with universal agreement it has to be said.
