All depends on the clauses placed in his contract. RR bought him I think and he was a canny old fella with contracts. There must be something of value in that contract for the club to suggest he goes find a club to take him and he's done at CCFC. Makes me think as Nick has suggested a game ratio may be in there somewhere and that would give the club a right to sack or loan him with wage reduction or some other clause where after so few games he can be transferred for free and provided the wages do not fall below a certain level, say 50% of what he was on? If not the case then why get rid and continue to pay 8k a week knowing we had such a thin squad and he could contribute?
Truth is though probably none of those as I would not have signed a contract like that myself!

AT has made this comment for one of three reasons.

I think Eastwood would be on around 5-6k p/w, I hope it does open up an opportunity for a loan.
