Bright Enobakhare - one appearance (23 mins) in EFL cup

Tom Bayliss - used only in the ELF cup

I don't get the glee people take here in former players not immediately lighting their new clubs on fire.

Smaller cup and treated that way by all of the premiership clubs and the majority of the championship clubs

The thing is to loan a player so they can be developed, if i was wolves id be annoyed as he got game time here and could show what he could do, they want to see what he can do there and get game time but he isnt.

Sterling not getting a game there either, not sure if he's injured.

Bayliss not walking into the first team doesn't mean he's made a mistake when he's only been there a few weeks.

When your sitting down with these clubs you need to ask/insist that you get proper game time from the off or stay put

Bayliss also had a disrupted pre-season, which probably didn't help him get up to speed with his teammates either.

We'll see.

In terms of Bright, it'd be to our advantage if he didn't play much, as suddenly he'd become affordable for us next season of course. He does seem, on the face of it, to be an... interesting character who needs managing in the right way.

But that's not realistic is it, you don't either play every game from day one or disappear altogether like those are the only two outcomes.

In fairness I wouldn't say its glee. I think it's just more a case of they could have done a job here and got valuable irst team playing time for young lads rather than development football.

Money talks I suppose, shame really. Saying that, I think Shipleys stepped up fantastically, as has Westbrooke. Cant complain the position we're in

In Bayliss' case there wasn't really much choice.
He was going what ever to who ever what ever I think?

When you look at Sarr at Watford, their highest ever payment for a player, and his only start was against us in the EFL cup, you wonder about the sanity of football.

Nope. O'Hare already showing he has more about him than Bright. Bright was good but selfish and made shit decisions. O'Hare will do a better job than him when fully up to speed.
Bayliss, has been replaced by an injured Allen, who in time will be pivotal in our run of form come the new year. And his money also went on Godden, who will score 20 this season.

It's up to wolves who they loan bright to and if hes not happy, then he has to speak up but not our problem. And as far as bayliss is concerned, not helping his career sitting on the bench, but hey, hes finally on his "10 bags a week" that we were told about.
Westbrooke has almost matched his goals and assists tally in 1 month!

Think its more frustration at seeing players we had / wanted who were pretty much guaranteed first team football here going elsewhere and then not playing. Of course still early days and things may be very different in a few months time.

Sarr is only 21, didn't have preseason with them so they are easing him in and getting him fit - quite sensible and not at all related to the general madness in football.

As much as Shipley has improved he is way way to sloppy in possession constantly giving the ball away after doing well to get it in the first place, time after time he is misplacing even the simplest of passes

I think O'Hare has started well and will be a good player for us this season. That now doesn't mean that Bright was suddenly crap. Two different players who play in different ways. I wonder if we had managed to re-sign Bright would we have been under so much pressure on Saturday. He is a player who is happy to receive the ball in tight areas, not lose it and often do something useful with it. I can't see him coming back in January but as NW says, if he makes no impact at Wigan, it might make him affordable for us for next season. I would certainly have him back.
