Another reason why I can't go. It would be wrong of me to call 'the jollys' when I joined them surely. At least I go to some games. These jollys haven't been for years. Last season only missed about 3/4games. Less jollys last season.

"Jollies", surely?

I would like to think that the peeps who go to Wembley would also turn up to the winners parade. Party on and all that. The kids would love it, chasing the bus. Sisu would have a positive to give us on the banners. Sisu winners, as an alternative to all their bad investment in players, poor managerial choices, lack of communication, taking us from Cov, broken promises, selling best players, but they have won a cup. Sorry going off again.....

I prefer jollys. You are correct.

A possible route for the parade could be around the Memorial Park a couple of times, like the park run. So not to affect the traffic too much. The lads would be upset if you paraded in the street, all those closed curtains.

You also asked in a different thread where the jollies were on a Saturday game which turned out to be maybe your third of the season, rendering it even more stupid.

I like to see my talk as 10 years of Sisu driven anger. A post traumatic Sisu syndrome. It will pass when they leave us eventually. I hope.

Please no , I don't think I could face such an embarrassing spectacle , even if we won 5-0.
Imagine having ccc officials sarcastically applauding from their ivory towers, bunch of cunits.

Perfectly legitimate question to ask.

Let's start at Jewsons, then move to Travis Perkins, a quick hop over to Homebase finishing off with a bit of stock taking at Wickes. That should just about cover it.

It would be hypocritical if I went on the jolly. But I'm not, therefore about 30,000 are the hypocrites surely

No, it's hypocritical to complain about the 'jollies' not going to games that you barely go to yourself.

Can't imagine one happening myself. Could be an absolute nightmare if protests and such happened.

I would prefer nobody to go as a mass protest of the owners, but in reality I'm not blaming any fan who wants to go. It's an emotional dilemma. I'm angry that's all. Angry at the relegation v the rubbish cup run. Very personal view. My club has chosen the cup route, rather than treat league status as key. Just angry
If I have upset or offended any peeps I'm sorry. I just feel let down.

The same as you said Fisher chose to get to the cup final and not the league? It's just made up as you go along.

It not made up. I base my view on what Venus said. He was reported to say 'we need a cup run'. Back in Nov time, I think. At the time I thought, why did he say that. FA Cup no chance as proved with Cambridge. But the shit cup was then on. We were struggling to win games and he said we need a cup run. Why? So that's where my view comes from.

Well. It's all about opinions then I suppose. A team that is shit in league games, suddenly finds a cause. A pointless nothing of a competition. The way I look at it, is Fisher/Venus could see a way of picking up some extra dosh to improve profits. So on with cup while shit happens in league. The added bonus is the cup will shut the fans up for a short period while we run down the club to a L2 outfit. Sounds like a Sisu plan. I'm sticking to it. You may think I'm cracked, but who cares. Sisu keep getting away with it.

Yes, because everybody completely forgets about the league results if we play in the cup.

You do realise it's pretty much different teams played in cup and league don't you?

It's all you have pretty much posted about

No, not different teams at all. At most maybes 2/3 differences. At most 4 changes. Pretty much the same. The Wycombe game even included then injured Beavon. To help us get thru that tie. So no I disagree.
Yes, I have signed up to this forum as a way of moaning. To let off steam about the clubs wrong focus. That's my view. I will see what peeps have to say then argue my view. It my main bugbear presently. If I was here back in October I would've been expressing views on our future relegation. That was my worry then. Until this stupid cup is over and done my view will be focused on what players we get in division 4.

It is hardly pointless if the cup run gets the club an extra 20% on turnover. What it may not be is prestigious.

From the business point of view, good business. As the actual squad is threadbare and full of kids, you increase levels of fatigue. Too many games, as we now are witnessing. Low levels of fitness and game wiery.

You are so right. As he is employed with his keen eye on the business. Knowing little how to run the football side of our club. He was quick to recognise to chance of a quick profit. The rest is history.

I would like to apologies for being one of the "Jollys" you refer to. After spending out on a season ticket for 28 years I haven't been for the last couple due to circumstances I don't wish to divulge. However, I am going to Wembley for a JOLLY. Sorry if I offend you for it

To be fair, last time we played Oxford in a game with a trophy we won...Sure it was 2003ish. I want to say Bill Watts Memorial Trophy or something? Have a vague picture of Big Mo in my head lifting this trophy...?

Not sure how to interpret this

"Nobody wants to be the team that wins at Wembley and gets relegated." - Coventry City's Jordan Willis
