After last night's success in the JPT against Preston, we now face a two-leg home-and-away semi-final followed hopefully by a Wembley final. Which is exactly what we will face if we finish in the play-off positions - what better preparation could we have?
Our success in the JPT - assuming we reach the final - will give players and fans the experience and confidence we need to come through the play-offs and get back up to the Championship.

Last nights game showed me something else. We have a team that never gives in. Play like that for the rest of the season and we should aim for 2nd at least......forget the playoffs

2nd is ambitious tbh. Even I can't see that quite yet.
It will depend on the run we put together during this 3rd quarter starting with Carlisle.

Though it is possible we would need a remarkable run to do that and lose only the odd game maybe 2 at most. We will be playing around 60 games this season and that larger squad is vital and we do have about the best in depth squad in this league. A lot would depend on a few others stumbling.
Donny have lost their manager which may prove difficult for them, Tranmere are shooting above their weight and the squad is thin. Bournemouth don't have the pedigree, MK are not good enough, Brentford look the stroger bet of those few and my favourite has to be Sheff.Utd with a good manager and a decent squad. Can we get there with them?

Playoffs on the other hand look easy from where I'm standing under Mark Robin's guidance. Once there it's difficult to see who would beat us?

But who's to say after Robin's has won the MOTM award the curse will strike and it just won't play out for us? I think from what we have seen so far under him we all agree this is not an Andy Thorn pushover side but a very well drilled Mark Robin's side and I'll go with that to make all the difference.

This is the part of the season I have been looking forward to. It is about to start getting cold now. Players pick up injuries more frequently during cold weather. Look at the game against PNE. We can get injuries and bring in cover for that position. Most clubs will struggle. Clarke looks to be a great signing. Can you imagine him against second string defenders? We are looking better going forward the longer the season goes. Confidence will be very high now.......one step away from Wembley. We have been beating the teams at the top. Yes we lost against Shrewsbury. We won't win every game.

Will settle for the playoffs, but feel we have a decent chance of doing even better.
