We're winning games in League 1 and we're enjoying success we havent seen in years, but would you rather see City draw and lose more games in The Championship? I would rather be in The Championship, cus as a Season Ticket holder i wanna see the best quality football i can and i really want us to get back to the big time, cus although we were relegated last season, the quality of football was much better than in League 1. Dont get me wrong, i like League 1 as we're winning more games, but i just think winning means more when you're amongst massive teams like Blackburn and Palace, so i'd prefer top take our chances in The Championship. What about you guys? Do you prefer winning in League 1 or did you prefer the quality of last seasons football?

Winning games is good at any level and this season has been enjoyable so far. But for me the aim is to be the best we can be. Same as anything in life.

Shows how low we are when somebody can consider Blackburn and Palace as massive teams.

I think if we keep winning in League 1, we will end up in the Championship.

Who would choose doing well in League One as a preference? The entire point of winning is to reach the Championship.

Can't believe I'm in agreement with summerisle, but he's "Bang on". I' personally would take a "Guaranteed" finish of one(1) position above relegation places in the PREMIER LEAGUE. At least then I would get to see the best club teams, playing in the best league in the world. I know this thread is about Championship/L1 but I want top football. Maybe I'm being greedy, and have been spoiled in previous years, but unlike these young 'uns I've witnessed the best. Why have "Scrag end" when you can have "Sirloin"

I wouldn't be able to take playing the likes of Yeovil and Leyton Orient every week in front of 9,000 fans for too many seasons. Like someone has already said, the whole point of winning in League 1 is to get back up to the championship.

Of course we should want promotion, any team across the country wants to get to the next level....

Can you really see anyone saying ' lets not win too many games cause if we get promoted we will lose more in the championship'

Bit of a silly thread, the whole point of a league is that if you keep winning games you will get promoted. There is no point winning games and NOT getting promoted, we are in a shit league and we need to get out of it fast. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesnt understand football!!!

I really don't see that much of a jump in standard between L1 and championship.

Look at recent promotees, most of stuck around in the Champs - a couple are in the Prem. Squads can vary but it's all down to the quality of the manager for both divisions and I think we've got a good one

Absurd post. Of course we want promotion and then promotion again! Ask Southampton!

The biggest club in the Championship is by far Leeds Utd. Blackburn are a small town club that traded on a guy with big money ambition years ago and obtaining Alan Shearer with a view to buying the title in a similar way that Chelsea have done in more recent times. Does not make them a big club. The problem with them is (like us before them) they are adjusting to being back where they belong and want to believe they are still a premiership club. Sad to see. They never were and never should have been.

Coventry on the other hand are one of the bigger clubs outside the premeier league at the moment.
Forest another, Birmingham too though their pedigree has never been a top end club with Villa owning that title.
