Difficult to predict the outcome of the men's singles title this year.
But I'll go with Nadal.

If I was looking for the unexpected then Murray. He proved at the French without real form, he can play his way through in the big tournaments and this is his best surface. Djokovic likewise.
Federer?...too much f an ask tbf.

What say you?

I used to watch lots of tennis on TV but I've lost interest over the years.
The players today just don't have to personality of former players like John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors or Ilie Nastase.
Federer is my current favourite male player.
The women's game is so boring. My favourite player was Steffi Graf.

I'll be very surprised if Fed isn't celebrating his 8th Wimbledon title come next Sunday, watch out for Alexander Zverev as a potential longshot although he is due to meet Raonic and Fed before the semis.

Just caught the end of Azalenka v Halep.
They should sell ear plugs down there.
Talk about screaming Hyena's.

Tennis is shit. Two people wearing white, sniffing yellow balls and screaming unnecessarily.

I wouldn't go that far but women's tennis has lost its lustre with all the grunts, groans, bulging muscles and clenched fists.
Bring back Margaret Court and Chris Evert with their calm demenour and unruffled elegance.
They were great champions but made it look easy with never a grunt, groan or squeal heard.

Yes a great match, Muller deserved to go through, after losing the 3rd and 4th set it looked like it would only go one way

Konta beats the grunting Halep. And Halep had the nerve to ask the crowd to be warned about making noise!
Now she has to meet Venus Williams.

Good to see Paxmans knowledge on tennis predictions is as accurate as those of his football ones.

Maybe she had a point as she left a shot on the final play due to a shout from the crowd.

Was also interesting tha Haleps grunting /yelping was much less evident today.
Seemingly suggesting If one player does it the other responds.

Just watched Konta win that's the first time I've seen her play. Not a real tennis fan find it a bit boring, but that was okay. Is she a Brit ? I read she's an Aussie with Hungarian parents. But then again anyone can play sport for Britain these days !

Yes, if Murray wins we say he is the pride of Britain, but if he loses he is just that crap player from Scotland

Three things stood out for me about Konta today.
1. She is improving all the time
2. She is full of grit & determination
3. Her restrained celebration suggested she is beginnig to believe in herself...but isnt satisfied that the job is done yet

Would love it if she won, & Murray too...but I just can't see beyond Federer at the moment. I think he has regained his motivation, regain a fitness edge & updated revisited elements of his game that were starting to let him down on occasion

A Murray win would hardly be unexpected, top seed and second favourite, yes his forms been off since the turn of the year but a win certainly wouldn't be unexpected.

As for it being too much of an ask for Fed, did you watch the Australian Open?

Djokovic pulls out injured.

Stars are aligning for Fed to win it!

Has to be the greatest sportsman of my lifetime! '89 onwards!

Murray out - was obviously in pain, grimacing after every point. The modern tennis schedules are punishing on the body. I don't remember all these injuries years ago.

Hardly. He was clearly injured all tournament. If he'd held on to the break in the second set he'd have won which meant he'd have made the semis even with an obvious injury. If anything it highlights the gulf of the best against the rest

Not a big fan of tennis or Murray but heard his post match interview and was impressed by his attitude... no complaints, no excuses.
