Couldn't see this posted elsewhere...apologies if it is.

Sounds promising though...makes a change from strikers saying things like 'It's out of my hands', 'I don't know where I'll be next season', 'I need to look at furthering my career' etc etc. Dare I say it, Wilson is almost speaking as if he owes SP some loyalty for showing faith in him 12 months ago.

If both SP and CW are here come August (I personally suspect they will), I expect SP to build the team around CW and his strengths.

That's the difficulty though. How much investment in the team will there be to do that?

Fair point Paxman (congrats on your recent announcement about hanging up the microphone BTW!).

You would hope that SP knows what he can play with in the summer in terms of bringing new players in, which might have formed part of discussions with Wilson.

Reason for optimism? Nothing else to clutch at at the moment!

Born and bred in Coventry, playing for the team you support and followed all your life. I seriously hope he would be playing for us come the start of next season providing the owners don't do something to screw this up as well.

As long as we can strengthen the midfield to provide the necessary service to CW next season then he should be in contention for top league scorer again.

I would if they carried on scoring together like they did in the first half of the season despite his lack of loyalty.

Well it's one positive (along with staying up) out of the past few months and we could do with a few more.

True, hopefully not enough reason to leave your club with view to eventually moving back to Coventry :/

At this rate he could go off and have his career and still come back in time for us to play in Cov.

He's talking the talk alright, let's just hope sisu walk the walk and reject any and every offer that comes in for him.
