Callum Wilson has been named in the England u21 squad today.

I know most of you will probably say 'he doesn't play for us anymore, who cares' but whatever.

Well done Callum.

We aren't all backward in this part of the country, Moff. There is a rumour going round our village that someone here has electricity and fitted carpets.

I agree, SBS. It's nice to see 'one of ours' doing well. I hope he gets into the team and does himself proud.

Why? Aren't you happy for him to be doing well? Yes it would be great if he was still with us, but he's not.

Let's be proud that we've played a part in his development. A great example of our academy.

Do we have a sell on clause? Could be a nice few pounds coming our way next season. Makes we weep when I see him described as the bargin of the season in the Bournmouth writeups.

well done to Callum W,
one would have thought that the CCFC regime would be pleased to announce the 'sell-on' clause that they surely would have incorporated in the deal,
& so we wait..................
after all they did crow about it being for the benefit of the club

From wiki:

This team is for English players aged under 21 at the start of the calendar year in which a two-year European Under-21 Football Championship campaign begins, so some players can remain with the squad until the age of 23. As long as they are eligible, players can play for England at any level, making it possible to play for the U21s, senior side, and again for the U21s, as Jack Butland, Wilfried Zaha and Raheem Sterling have done recently. It is also possible to play for one country at youth level and another at senior level (providing the player is eligible).

Top marks for banter you witty man you. However, it's such a small club mentality to be getting a rock on about a player who doesn't even play for us getting into the U21s.
