There was a couple of young Italians im sure that were going to be good based on CM but never made it all

I never watched him play but a mate who did reckoned he had something about him. But that something seemingly wasn't a desire to be a footballer.
Strachan senior made a barbed comment asking similar lines. Poor Gavin had the desire but not the ability.

We know a few Bury lads whom we met when we played them for the first time, I remember telling them what a coup they'd pulled off when they signed him after he left us and he turned out to be awful for them

Had to train at a Rugby club if memory serves-I think these were in it?
