Why are Pubs held up as an example.
Why are Pubs deemed far more risky than Tesco’s etc

I’ve been shopping mate ‘trust me people don’t need to be pissed to ignore social distancing.

There is no way there will be a whole season BCD.

I am quietly optimistic that by October (maybe even the start of next season) grounds will have "some" fans in, that may be 20% etc, but some fans at least.

if pubs are rumoured to be opening soon, they are far more risky than a football stadium.

I think authorities may be reluctant to do this because some fans will turn up outside the ground wanting to get in and looking for someone selling a ticket. Could be a touts wet dream and also people making forged tickets.

Also if you have mostly empty seats there will inevitably be people just moving around to other seats because they prefer the view so unless you're blocking off whole blocks of seats (inc the concourse which may be a safety issue) you could end up with a lot of people in a small area and stewarding/policing it will be a nightmare. Plus you'll get the inevitable pricks who get challenged kicking off at them if they try and force them to move.

Can't see it happening until most of the stadium can be opened.

There has never been a vaccine for a coronavirus approved for use before. It's amazing they now think they can develop one and have it ready for millions of people within a few months. I wouldn't hold your breath...

I know a bit about this project
It's worked in earlier trials and is now in its final stages of human testing
As the virus is reducing here they've had to extend to Brazil where infection rates remain high
The leaders of the trial forecast an 80% chance of success at the start and the government and other funding bodies have paid for millions of doses to be manufactured ready for distribution if the vaccine gets approval
If it fails then those doses will probably have to be destroyed
This has certainly never happened before but these are extraordinary circumstances

Personally, I think it's all a media over-reaction. There will be a vaccine by September 18th, everyone will have been injected and protected by Wednesday November 23rd and life will return to normal by Thursday November 24th at 14.26pm exactly. Just remember that you read it here first!
