Interested to know if you guys think we will beat Crewe?

Interested to hear your predictions on the home game.

Do you think it will be a closer encounter?

Think the away leg will be a tight game?

I feel like it's 60-40 in our favour over the 2 legs.

Fancy us to beat them at home but away i am not so sure. We tend to struggle there. Ideally we need to be taking a 2-3 goal lead there. We will see

Our name is on the cup, so yes, we will beat Crewe.

Think it might well be all over by the first leg to be honest.

100% hope your right. Would like to relax and enjoy it rather than what I'm expecting which is us doing it the hard way. I think your comment is wishful thinking though.

Yeah....I missed a couple of goals queuing for a pie. My mate was v miffed about it....in fact he was still going on about it when I saw him the other week.

I think it's going to be quite close, they're a decent football side and we concede goals. I expect us to beat them over the 2 legs but probably by the odd goal.

we'll go ahead they'll equalise

seriously, I don't know Crewe, they are sitting just below us on the table, so should be a close game, hopefully us edging it over two legs.

hopefully we will be the 12th man in the first game and take an uncatchable lead

That's probably what a lot of Villa fans thought before they played Bradford.

Strangely enough in 1936 and 1937 they were Welsh Cup winners!

Ibcsnt see us beating them by more than 2 at home so it will be very close second leg imo

Agreed i don't like the over confidence. Whenever i think we should win we always shoot ourselves in the foot.
league is priority if we get through its a bonus in my eyes, but not expected !!!

Haven't checked lately, but I am pretty sure we are not Aston Villa.

Would you rather people weren't confident then?

Come on people we need to be confident that we can win at home at the very least, I am sure we will win 2-0 at home and 2-1 win away from home.. (4-1 Agg)

Don't get the reticence at all.

And the Villa analogy is just daft. Villa are a team in turmoil and on a downward spiral, while we are one of the in form teams around right now.

Plus I don't see how we are going to underestimate a Crewe team who are in the same league as us and of pretty equal standing.

Fact is, the Crewe supporters don't even seem that bothered about this fixture, while we on the other hand have a real hunger for a bit of success, as the 20,000+ crowd will testify.

MR and the team get the tactics right on the night, that huge crowd is going to be like a 12th man.

I am convinced our name is on the cup. Same vibes as 1987. Be wrong for me to be anything else other than supremely confident.

Calm down lads. It is over 2 legs so not a lottery like most games.

On recent form we win just over half of our games. We draw and lose the same amount of the remainder. My only worry is the lads don't freeze when they walk out and see the full house in the home game. I fancy us for a win and a draw.

We've froze in the past. In the past though we haven't had Mark Robins.

We'll be fine. The guy has the midas touch!

How have we done with our best crowds so far this season?

When I first read this thread I saw it as "We WILL beat Crewe"... now either:
  • I have Marty Feldman eyes and nobody has told me.
  • A root cause for why I underperfomed at school.
  • Or its fate...?
Hoping/Praying/Wishing for the latter...:claping hands:

PUSB.
In MR we trust.
