I'm a bit nervous/exited about the next two games so what with there still being 4 days until saturday I thought I'd add this into the cauldron

Can Villa still get relegated? They are currently only 5 points from the bottom 3 and have some tough games in their run in. I think it's an outside chance but not impossible.

Liverpool A
Stoke H
Man United A
Sunderland H
Bolton H
West Brom A
Tottenham H
Norwich A

You never know-
we all thought we were nailed on for league one. part of me thinks we could be playing villa in the championship next season. Just imagine...

On Saturday, I bet £5 on then relegated at 12/1. Gives me a nice feeling just the thought they could. I still remember being relegated in that dump. Would LOVE it!!!!

They will survive. Too much to ask for us to stay up and they go down

A lad at work is a Villa fan. Really upset him today when I said in a nice loud voice, "I think the Villa are too good to go down".

Accused me of tempting fate.

Villa have this really annoying tendency to hover close to the bottom 3 before pulling away-they've done it plenty of times. You get the feeling they're doing it on purpose!

They've lost maybe their best 2 players for the season in Petrov (hope he gets better) and Bent but I think they've still got the players to pull clear. Agreed with Brighton that they do this a lot, definitely seems a tactic!

As a younger sky blue I've never seen us play villa, but as the up bringing in a sky blue family as you'd expect this game is the grand daddy of them all for me. I fully expect scoring against them would result in celebrations that piss all over what happened at Incest when deegs bought it back 2-2. Please come down you silly brummy club!!!

I would love it! My son-in-law is a Vile fan - God knows why! He's always knockin' the City yet he is Coventry born and bred. We fell out big time coz he tried to bring my young grandson up as a Vile fan as well but bless his little heart, he said he wants to support Cov! He's only 6! He has now swapped his Vile top for a City top!

Would love it to happen! Villa away is what I've been waiting for since that horrible day we were relegated. We've got to stay up 1st though!

As much as I'd love it, I think there are too many poor teams down there for them to go down. Looking forward to Wolves next year though as they are surely dead and buried.

You should never say no chance at this time of the season. This is when the shock results keep coming in. Don't think their manager is good enough to change things though

Oh lord this thread worries me. A lot of presuming we are already safe. Anyway to the Villa. Used to despise them, put any Leicester rivalry to shame. Would love them to come down though it would take me a while to build the "hatred" back up, it's been so long

I agree. Let's keep focus here. The joke would be on us if we don't survive...all it takes is an injury, a sending off, a bad ref decision or a moment of shear bad luck. I think Villa MIGHT be relegated, but worse case scenario would be for both of us to get the drop...can you imagine that! So close yet out of reach! OUCH!!

I had a tenner at the start of the season at 20/1 that they would go down. But I think the pleasure of them going down would be better than the 200 quid

The worst thing is, if they stay up (and i think they will, just) it will be down to Robbie Keane's spell there

You truly are a great grandfather! and one the kids will forever be proud of!

The after picture is cracking, and your grandson is wearing a proper blue shirt not some dirty off blue with a bleeding kittycat on the badge.

Well done HH!
