I wonder if he is interested in saving us this season in order to put himself in the shop window?

If we go down or have a horrific near miss like Charlton in 2008, would he get the blame? In these scenarios, would he stay and would the fans want him?

Need to secure our League position this season first, then look at the future!

Absolutely no chance he will leave, he wouldn't have got involved in a train wreck like us otherwise

How could anyone blame TM if we went down? IMO having him as manager gives us a very decent chance of staying up. There are many we could blame though depending on how many years you would like to go back.

I wouldn't have blamed him if he had walked after last Saturday to be honest.
TM should have told Waggott miracles stopped with Jesus.
This club needs new owners and quick.
All these loan players coming and going is just futile.

What's Sisu going to give him close season? sweet nothing!
A whole new squad is needed and that will need money and time to bed, next season could be just as bad as this one.

I think he will be off close season anyway..the damage is too deep within the club.

Doubt it to be honest. We are a wage at the end of the day and he hasn't been earning and despite having a few quid tucked away, I'm sure a few months work and potentially putting himself in the shop window if he manages to keep us up will be what he is looking at. I doubt very much he is a masochist in which case why else would he be here.

Read TM on the second half display against Doncaster and he rips the team apart with his comments. He uses words like "not the same team" and "thats why we are down the bottom"

To Pressely he would of accepted it and said good performance etc.

We need to stay up and this man to stay. He knows football and he could lead us to better things next year for sure. Stay up first.

I think he is more aware of the problems within the club than we are; will know that unless some miracle JR overturn, no real money will be forthcoming. Hence the short contract and from magical mystery "Hello Goodbye". :guitar2:

I'd love him to stay and get the backing from our owners to form a team capable of pushing for a tip six finish. Got a feeling that neither will happen. He won't stay because he won't get the reassurances he wants regarding investment in the team.

Someone will snap him up though.

I'm hopeful but doubtful, Mowbray doesn't strike me as the type of person who will stay if he feels he is being messed about.

It would be great if he did but I don't think there is much hope as they will not support him with the new players he will want and I don't get the feeling he suffers fools gladly so unlikely to put up with Waggott and his monkey.

Is there an announcement on our league position coming up in the new year?

Could be another robins where he uses us a stepping stone. Will look good for his cv if he keeps us up, no doubt he will be linked with almost every managers job going in the summer. Hope he sees us as more of an opportunity to get this club going again especially with a pre season where he can build his own team and get his own men in, why is McFarlane still here?

McFarlane is still here because SP has not yet got another job. As soon as he does he will be off. As for TM he will be off in the summer as our owners will do their usual stuff by prefabricating on future investment.

That is what the club want so there is no pay off for him as well as I guess his contract is as stupidly long as the ex managers.

Who cares if he goes once we stay up that's the main thing plenty of other managers would want to manage us in the summer

No, shop window.

Happy to be proven wrong though.

I`d love him to stay but I keep remembering that old saying ; If something seems too good to be true it probably is.

No matter what anyone says this isn't debatable. The problem I have is would Waggott/Fisher make two good appointments on the trot?

I think it is between Mowbray and Waggott who stays

The optimist in me says, that something may happen this summer re new ownership (Wasps?), so no deal beyond current season could be struck.
The pessimist in me says, that Mowbray only wants to stay until the season ends, and that he will not risk his reputation beyond that, due to the train wreck we are at present.

If we stay up, TM will stay in my opinion. He is 'old school' in the best possible sense, and if he sees commitment he'll stay ....and he would have been well aware of the situation here when he applied for the job. He doesn't need a 'shop window'...there have been many managerial opportunities recently, but it seems he relished the challenge here, and still does. Stay up and he'll be with us next season, having used his gravitas and influence to bring in a decent squad to start next season....

Spot on, you just need to remove the words " I think" from the last line.

I agree, this is a definite possibility. At some stage SISU's investors must surely say 'enough is enough'. A Wasps deal makes perfect sense for them.

Haven't Wasps said they aren't interested?

I do have general concern that Mowbray will only be here for the short term, especially as Hockaday is still lingering around

I suppose that means there will be protracted contract negotiations during the summer...
