Pretty simple question. Considering their membership has voted they will not actively participate with the move away, will they now ACTIVELY OPPOSE any such move?

Surely amongst your membership their will be virtually unanimous support for such a move. Certainly as a fans group, by NOT outright condemning such a move is letting down their paying membership.

It seems that certain of your membership have decided already enough is enough, and I can hardly believe that the rest are happy with the trust's stance of appeasement of sisu's highly aggressive actions which will almost certainly be suicidal for the club.

Sure if they want to see the end of the club fine continue doing so little, but how can a fan's group live with itself it had a chance (however small or difficult) to save the club, and did nothing! It's all very well attacking the administrator and the landlords, but I'm sure the administrator can claim he is simply doing his job (however we as individuals may disagree), and the landlords have fulfilled their legal commitments. yet inexplicably the trust has refused to go on record and publicly denounce what TF and his sisu paymasters are trying to do to the club they CLAIM to support.

Certainly as a fan myself I could NEVER live with myself knowing that I may have had an opportunity to DO something about it and did nothing as the trust - by NOT SPECIFICALLY CONDEMNING A MOVE AWAY are doing.

But hey, I at least HAVE done whatever I can, shame the trust cannot say the same!

so SBT - WILL YOU FINALLY STAND UP FOR THE CLUB? OR ARE YOU JUST IN IT FOR THE PUBLICITY?

I'm sure getting on the TV or being constantly invited on cwr is a brilliant ego boost, but by not backing up the privileged position with AFFIRMATIVE ACTION you are wasting that opportunity!

I'm not sure I would be comfortable with the trust trying to prevent people going to games. As much as I hate the situation we're in and would like rid of SISU (and ACL if possible) I support the 11 players on the pitch and it's not really their fault if they end up playing at another ground. Whilst at this stage I would oppose a move away if it actually happened I wouldn't like to see a situation where those who choose to support the team (which is not the same as support SISU or anyone else) are victimised in any way or made out to be lesser supporters.

Most of us could live with out you PSGM1. If you have a vendetta against the trust thats your problem, if it was put to the vote i think most members would say they actively opose the move. But as it hasnt been put to the vote are you suggesting they should to please your ego? You should put all your efforts in to doing something constructive rather than criticise and being obstructive, maybe get a hobby or counciling as you definately need to work something out.

But surely you see that the more people who say up front that they will not be attending "home" games outside Coventry the more chance that SISU will not consider that as an option.
SISU are assuming supporters will still be going to these matches.

Visualiise Coventry playing in Northampton or Walsall for 5 years while a stadium is built. Are you up for that?

It's a stupid idea and everybody knows it. It will not happen and the sooner SISU get their arse out their hands the better (Or move on and let someone else have a go.)

Support the team by not going.

I am a member of the trust and I would not oppose a move away from the Ricoh, providing it was temporary, and there was a definite plan with a timescale of moving back to Coventry

of course it's a stupid idea and as i said i oppose the plan to move outside of coventry but if it does end up happening (and does anyone really think that SISU are going to listen to what we say) I would not be happy with fans being targeted because they have decided to go to games.

2,3 or 5 years, it doesn't matter, it will be long enough to kill off the football club formerly known as Coventry City.

This is what the trust is,a number of fans with different views but one thing in common they love City. I dont agree with uou in respect of a move away from the Ricoh but that is irrelevant just as not being a member of the trust is. What I do have a problem with is individuals who are not members TELLING the trust what they should be doing all the time JOIN put it to the vote and do it what is so difficult about that to understand?

Fisher spouted some nonsense about moving back within 3 years.. well that is an unfeasible plan.. he also said "there is no deal to be done at the Ricoh", that is a lie pure & simple.

Yes, but timing is everything. In the main they haven't had to deal with the constraints of FFP. You may be right, but I'd wager that the best case scenario will be rebuilding the club from conference level ala Luton, Oxford and many other former league clubs.

4 seasons for Rotherham.

'Whilst a new purpose-built community stadium was being built in Rotherham, the club relocated to the Don Valley Stadium in nearby Sheffield for four seasons from 2008–09 to 2011–12.'

Based on the Ricoh. Planning permission given in 1999 opened in 2005.
So add on obtaining planning permission.

MK Dons - Proposed 2002 opened 2007

In theory could you not buy the land ASAP and then use temporary stands like these http://www.arenagroup.com/index.php/products/seating/ whilst building one stand at a time? Sure you still need planning permission but with a sympathetic council just outside of Cov that may not take too long.

Remember the Rioch took so long to build because of contaminated ground and funding problems and I wouldn't imagine we're looking to build a 30K ground and exhibition centre.

why more, not like the Ricoh is packed every week. A smaller ground designed with a view to future expansion if and when required would be perfect.

not sure why it would be a bodge up. temporary stadiums are pretty sophisticated these days. several of the olympic venues were temporary, noone way saying they were a bodge up.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am with psgm1 on this.
I want to see what I am getting for my £1 before I join up
To date , nothing springs to mind .barr than pissing off the administrator and wasting his time.
The Trust need to be seen doing something , gathering the troops before its to late. ( that would entail another meeting to put it to the vote I imagine )

For my pound I simply wish to be informed!

That and my windows washed once a month and my supper and slippers to be waiting by the door for me when I get home. Ohh and a hot bath and massage twice a week and also a blonde leggy girl girl called Bambi from a posh escort agency to come and service me once a fortnight.

Not too much to ask is it?
