I can't help but think that this news coming out today might possibly affect the performance tonight?

Could be a good excuse when certain players perform lamentable - except they did the same when they were getting their bonus.

Depends on how they choose to react, they appear to have altered the terms of bonus payments, not reneged on the possibility of them receiving them full stop. So if there is a clause in their now that means win tonight and you earn £x, then that may well just be the added tonic they need, whereas previously it appears we were paying out bonuses and results were woeful, so could have the opposite effect ... looking forward to finding out later, but I see a win and when this has all died down, I think this re-negotiating of bonus schemes will make perfect sense, "get us out of this league and you earn, rightfully, loads of doe, don't and you won't" ... simples !

it was discussed before wrexham game so they have known for ages and won 3 friendlies in that time

also it will challenge them to win now that they have accepted terms, its a good thing.

I don't think it will negatively. We've won 3 since then and thats always good for morale. A good cup run should be part of a bonus too.

is the idea not that the players perform better because that way they will receive the bonus? One would hope this will have a positive slant on tonights result.

Yea some players won't like it but that will only weed out the freeloaders, the new bonuses based on success will keep the players fit and hungry unless they have a bad attitude
