Looking at the sides around us - Peterborough, Ipswich, Wycombe, Fleetwood, Oxford, Doncaster, Sunderland, Rotherham, Blackpool and Bristol Rovers, there's no stand-out side. Ipswich looked to be such a side but their two recent defeats have set them back. If we can keep a decent run of form going until some of our injured players are fully fit - Kelly, Biamou, Allen, Godden, Jobello, Jones, then there's every reason to be optimistic. Yes?

Getting Allen and Jones back will be a massive boost

Jobello's been ruled out for the season
JJ it would be great to have back. but won't get up to speed (even if no recurrence) until...
Allen will be great, although it will take a few games to get up to match speed, but will be useful (Walsh is having a bit of a dip at the moment)
I agree it's about managing what we've got until some of these get back. Yesterday's result will be a massive boost for the team (as it was for the fans)

It would seem that playing wing backs and them giving the width (Dabo/Watson/Sam Mc/Mason) is the way forward... then the likes of Hiwula/Kastaneer play as back up forwards with O'Hare playing CM.

I suspect any 2 from the teams will bold will hold the pace along with the non-bold teams. (6 teams)

It's all about putting wins together. The difference between last season and this season is we didn't start shit this year.

Everyone's forgetting Peterborough's annual winter slump where they lose 5 in a row and all the best players ask to leave...it's like clockwork at this point.

Peterborough look like an automatic promotion to me and with scumberlands squad and new manager they should take up the other spot but I think anyone of about 10 to 12 other teams this season could make the play offs it's wide open

Prob the wrong person to answer this as I agree with you. Every reason to be optimistic

Last nights match thread concerns about the MR engine starting, calling the slump and worries about us being in a relegation battle may disagree though

Completely forgot he even existed!

Where do you see him fitting in? And will he be an enhancement to the current starting XI?

He's class
Can play anywhere centrally I reckon
He's been a ball playing central defender in his senior career but played up front as a kid
Could also play in front of the back 3 or 4

Not sure, but I believe the methodology on deciding this is done by the same people who negotiate the deadline on when we leave the EU.

Its in the stars- A return to the Ricoh by Xmas - The pitch is made suitable for football - the boost of returning will give us an advantage for a promotion spot
