I rarely get to see the Sky Blues but I'm puzzled at our poor form this season.

We have 2 decent goalies - Allsop, Burge
We have 4 decent full backs - Pugh, Haynes, Clarke, Phillips
We have 4 decent centre backs - Johnson, Webster, Willis, Hines
We have 6 decent midfielders - Fleck, Thomas, O'Brien, Coulibaly, Swanson, Daniels
We have 5 decent strikers - Nouble, McQuoid, Jackson, Tudgay, Miller
We have a decent manager
We have a good set of supporters
We have a decent ground (now)
And we have a host of good youngsters

So why do we lose to Scunthorpe, Rochdale and Crewe?

Can those who get to see them regularly enlighten me please.

Replace the word 'decent' with either 'poor' or 'average' in respect of the players, and you'll have your answer. Better than that though, get yourself a ticket and come and see for yourself, the more the merrirer.

Using just one player in your list as an example. Swanson.
From what I've seen he is shite. So how are you saying he's decent? I'm assuming you haven't seen him play.
And as for the rest....

I read up to the 2nd line and then had to simply stop for a bit of a chuckle.

Allsop? Would say he has been a liability for us so far and been anything but decent.

Poor form has been Pressley sticking to a system, but deploying the wrong players within that system.

We have 2 decent goalies - Allsop, Burge - Poor. Or at least, raw and unready for regular first team football.

We have 4 decent full backs - Pugh, Haynes, Clarke, Phillips - Yep. Think these are all decent enough for League One.

We have 4 decent centre backs - Johnson, Webster, Willis, Hines - Yep, again. Should be good enough for this division.

We have 6 decent midfielders - Fleck, Thomas, O'Brien, Coulibaly, Swanson, Daniels - Hmm ..... here lies the problem. Not enough variation, not enough strength and muscle, next to no goal threat from any of them at all this season. Midfield is where it is mainly going all wrong.

We have 5 decent strikers - Nouble, McQuoid, Jackson, Tudgay, Miller - Nouble, McQuoid and Jackson should be more than good enough for League One. Haven't seen enough of Miller, but Tudgay seemingly has lead boots. He looks sluggish, tired, lacking desire and a poor shadow of the player he once was.

Again the front line has been a problem, for we have Nouble injured and Jackson working his way back to fitness and Tudgay playing like he's ready for the summer hoildays.

We have a decent manager - Who is sticking by a system that is failing because we are not deploying the right personnel with it, or because we don't have the right personnel to deploy it.

We have a good set of supporters - Agree.

We have a decent ground (now) - Absolutely.

And we have a host of good youngsters - Totally agree, but we can't throw them all in there at once. We are already playing the likes of Haynes and Willis and Phillips regularly anyway. Not sure we can blood too many of them all at the same time and as for the likes of Maddison, well he needs to bulk himself up a bit I feel before he could become a first team regular.

Mate C'mon please....either open your eyes when you watch the city or actually go and watch the city.......... Allsopp - gash! Burge - learning the ropes, Pugh - past it, Haynes - exciting going forward - learning how to defend with numerous mistakes (will come gd), Clarke - gash! PHILLIPS - GOODm webster - slow and clumsy, JOHNSON - GOOD, Willis - average, Hines - not impressed me just yet but may be good. ...............im bored of this now but midfield lacks excitment, pace, energy, class, final pass, goals, 10 chances per game etc, lots of sideways passing, unbelievable amount of misplaced passes, no strength. TUDGAY IS WOOOOOOOOFULLL!!!! Jackson is very good, Nouble looks sharp but injured, Mcquoid is a donkey and miller not seen! Pressley needs to add to squad and wont accept 3-5-2 doesnt work and doesnt make changes when required to influence the game i.e at half time some games!

There could also be the argument that the current system is making players look bang average or worse , because they simply are not comfortable playing it
