We have replaced goal scoring forwards and a goal scoring midfielder with journeymen looking for work, an international goalkeeper with someone's third string keeper and a right back now starring with Derby and looking good for an international cap with unprovern kids and we wonder why we are slipping slowly but surely towards division 4 and beyond that there's the conference waiting. Didn't our ceo state after the Wilson transfer money from it will be made available for team strengthening or was I dreaming ?

Why are we on the slide?

Because we are Coventry City and that's what we do.

It's just all going worse and worse. League 2 within 5 years. Simple as that. You can't keep getting rid of your best players and replacing them with garbage. You will surely go down. That's how it works.

Don't understand anyone saying we have better players this year?

Surely we have weakened our squad haven't we?

Guess we all thought that Tudgay could be a replacement for Wilson, but he's not going to be I don't think and Jackson, though I think will do quite well for us, simply isn't going to be as prolific.

We have a much weaker keeper too.

2 key players in any football team. Good keeper and a 20 goal a season striker. Will we have either of those this season?

Nor me Otis. Completely agree. As soon as we lost Clarke last season the squad wasn't good enough, and now it's weaker than it was last season.

While sisu or Fisher and Waggott remain in charge our slump will continue and gain momentum imo. We have had the kcic campaign, we have had tirade of objections to the Wasp buy-out of the Ricoh but strangely these two running the football team get away with little more than a moan or two. Protest against them and sisu needs cranking up especially now there might just might be other options about. If it stays as it is I fear relegation lower than division 4 will happen

Too right!

UKIP would never have sold our ground to outsiders.

Do you think it will take 5 years for us to get into League 2? Or Division 4, to give it the accurate name!

Unless there is serious change here either a change of ownership or a change of policy and direction we are headed only one way and that's down and although we have a crop of a few good kids in the wings anyone of them who look the business will be shipped out Callum Wilson style.

The lack of respect to the fans and true and responsible stewardship of our club by the current owners is revealing.
Until they act in a way that we can unequivocally support they won't get any.
It's that simple and has been ever thus.

I posted this before a ball had been kicked, treated with derision by some, but to me our squad was lacking any real quality !

If Dave Beasant can be on the Stevenage bench, then I reckon @TheGouldfather should start for Coventry City next week! #pusb

I think it will take a lot less time than five years to be in league 2, I would go as far as saying within five years we could be out of the football league under these owners that have no idea what they are doing. Most of this rubbish squad can be easily replaced with even cheaper options as they are all on short deals.
