why waste money (1 Viewer)

today my guest was my nephew
his dad was in the away end
after the game we walked round to meet up and some trouble broke out on the
way
the police that were surrounding the away fans were watching.
i spoke to one of the coppers i said " there's a fight over there isn't it your job to sort it out" he looked with frightened eyes as a cov steward said "he's right" and the copper squeaked into his radio "there's a fight"then stayed were he was.
you have to have 100 coppers at all times surrounding law abiding millwall fans just in case one of them commits a littering offence:claping hands:
IS THIS A WASTE OF MONEY

anyway i continued on my way meet up with my millwall supporting bro in law
the up side is my nephew wants to be a JSB and a season ticket holder next year and go to the ricoh every other week rather than the den once or twice a year.

The police did nothing today. I saw 2 millwall fans kick a car in front of the police and they just stood there. I would be mighty pissed off if it was my car.

Good news that your nephew has been converted though :)

I was happily surprised did not see any trouble was in block 17 and went to the casino after the game to watch the Manchester Derby but totally agree the police are a waste of time and money could just give the cov stewards a police uniform and be the same effect

To be fair if the police do anything these days whether they be at football or elsewhere they are immediately accused of heavy handedness. Damned if they do, damned if they don t. I d love to see minimal policing at matches but then that relies on people behaving like civilised human beings
