New years day, sell out home crowd and a new stadium, yet only 850 are sold!!!!!!
I'm sure Rotherham bought 500 on a tuesday night...

Where's 3000 that travel go sixfields?

Like you mate I am pretty shocked that there are so little, are away fans buying through Rotherham? We don't know, you'd like to think more fans would make an effort but I am sure they have their reasons.

I am yes. Just very surprised with the fact that it's a brand new stadium for us to visit that we have sold one of our lowest away figures.

is there any particular reason people were expecting thousands to go to Rotherham?

1. Xmas period, everyone's skint
2. A good 180 mile round trip, easily costs over £30 in fuel
3. Tickets aren't the best priced

There's three good reasons for starters.

No necessarily big numbers, just 1500-2000.
850 is I think our 3rd lowest away following.

Yet it is less than Swindon which was 4 days before Xmas, the same sort of distance and the most expensive ground in the league - and also one we have been to a number of times before. The poor numbers to Rotherham are a bit baffling to be honest.

I think hangovers may play a part.

Our average away following figures are dropping pretty rapidly.

Wonder how many will make the trip to Preston. Earlier in the season I'd have expected 2500... Now though?

Also transport is an issue, not regular busses on New Year's Day.
Remember we are at Barnsley in FA Cup. 4 days later.

Don't understand why people would rather go Barnsley than Rotherham but each to their own and all that

Barnsley is bound to have an effect for sure, but we had a similar situation last season, MK Dons away followed by Spurs a few days later and we took 5000 to both. Ah well, people have their reasons I suppose.

This is the future im afraid.

Novelty of just attending away games is wearing off, numbers will inevitably fall.

I myself went to the MK Dons game with a strong feeling it would be the last time I ever watch ccfc.

With no home games its more of a reason to go to all the away games.
Every one so far, even Carlise, the only one in doubt is another trip to Orient as its mid week again

to get the chance to see what HR2 will look like when SISU have built it, might be a good indication on the cost of travelling to HR2 as the distance from the city centre keeps going up and given how overdue SISU are in announcing the site they were going to name in May, a 130mile round trip might be about right for home games.

Rotherham is 80 miles each way, hardly far, I am sure we have sold 1,000 now 2 blocks sold and 3rd on sale, new ground, train station very close by with plenty of pubs in close proximity to the ground, so all set for a good day, yet Barnsley a few days later, shit away day, possibly the worst away day when we was last in the championship, with shit fans to boot.

Much rather do Rotherham on what is a huge game, rather than go to barnsley.
At least the real hardcore following will be at Rotherham, I sometimes prefer that the regulars rather than day trippers like MK.

It's because the suppport is fair weather and always has been. This is why a phoenix club is a non starter.

Yep. Generally the word franchise is used by sixfields attendees to try and discredit the boycotters who went to MK Dons.

Do you think Ccfc is a franchise club?

If you move the club out of the city it plays in, dont be shocked "when so little turn up".

Even for away games. Simple really.

Fairweather?

This has been the worst season in 130 years. If this has been your idea of a good season I'd hate to experience a bad one.

More like 500m for me...maybe for some it's a fear that visiting it might dampen their objections to a new stadium based upon the Rotherham one (as in it might be better than the expect), or perhaps it is a statement that they don't want to visit a stadium like that?
Personally I think money in the present is a bigger issue putting off those with families.

I was trying to get tickets the other day online but couldn't. Assumed it was sold out so went for Barnsley instead.
